Me? Strategically it makes sense to build around a dominant center but I'm going with Magic Johnson. No better floor general ever played the game and whether it's Showtime fast break style or half-court basketball, I'm picking Magic.

Honorable mentions? Shaq, Kareem, Wilt the Stilt, Hakeem. In that order.

No offense but 1. I don't take Lakers fans seriously and 2. STEVE is the greatest point guard to ever play the game.

Laughable. You must have never watched basketball prior to 2002. Gary Payton. Walt 'Clyde Frazier. Isiah Thomas. John Stockton. Jason Kidd. Bob Cousy. Oscar Robetson. And the all-time greatest Magic Johnson.

If Nash ever wins a championship (which he apparently won't) I'd put at about 12 on the all-time list. As it is, he's one among many good, but not great, PGs to have played.
