Nets building around Simmons.

Bold Strategy Cotton GIF by MOODMAN

Are the Jets actually running the Nets, too?

Yes, the Celtics are hands down the best in the east and just seem to match up really well against Philly. It's very depressing
And they shouldn’t. Doc fucked up last night. Embiid didn’t get near enough touches on the matchups he had last night. Unacceptable.

A big part of the reason that the C's seem to do well against the 76ers is that they are consistently able to wear down Embiid.

They can pester and frustrate him on defense... even with smaller guys... thus causing Embiid to spend a lot of energy.

And they can make Embiid work on the defensive end, too... forcing him to follow and guard 3 pt shooters.

I see him just get tired out over the course of game... in the end, he's a big dude and gets tired.

And then we say things like, "why isn't Embiid more dominant against the C's?" or "why does it seem like he is settling for outside shots?"

With all due respect, the Celtics don’t do anything vs Embiid that everybody else doesn’t. The Sixers stopped getting him touches last night. It wasn’t anything the Celtics did. Additionally, if they play the scheme right Embiid never has to go to the perimeter. If they’re spaced on 5 out rotations get to shooters. The problem is Sixers wings over reacting to penetration with Embiid behind them. Doc fucked up. This was malpractice.

And now we know that Durant and Gobert are the exact same value!

Ok. Embiid and Philly has played the C's a lot... with the C's clearly having the upper hand... and I have heard such rhetoric after losses before. "Just feed Embiid more", etc.

Maybe it's not all Philly playing dumb or whatever... maybe the C's are doing something right.

The cycle continues, the Nets got absolutely fleeced on their trade for Ben Simmons, and now the Suns got absolutely fleeced on their trade for KD. Don’t worry Suns fans, give it a few years and you’ll be on the receiving end of a huge fleece.

Kinda like the Westbrook Lakers saga. Terrible trade to get him, unexpectedly good trade to move him.

Seems like it's usually better to be on the multiple components side when moving these monster contracts. Kinda goes against always wanting to get the best player in the trade a bit...but the scale has gotten SO big...

They're straight quitting. Were pretty much locked into the playoffs. Still, they weren't going to win a title with Durant and Irving, anyway.
They don't have a bad group of players now, but are more of a late seed possibility now. Depends on what they get done today to sort out some of the duplication on the roster today.

Guys on the radio here really want to find a way to get Mikal Bridges from the Nets, he would be a perfect fit but does Wiseman/Moody/Jerome and picks get it done?

I don't think so. Nets are reportedly set on keeping Bridges. It's expected they could get 3 1sts if they do make him available.

I think this is probably correct, maybe they consider Wiseman or Moody like the firsts they were? LOL...
