Stakesarehigh
One day it will all make sense
I never said it did not matter- I did say with every passing year it matters less and less in the NBA and it matters WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY less than it used to.
Nah
I never said it did not matter- I did say with every passing year it matters less and less in the NBA and it matters WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY less than it used to.
is that why there is a historic exodus out of California right now and tons of people moving to Texas from California?Sure, but you get to live in California instead of Texas, Florida, or Ohio. The taxes stay high because they're worth it.
KLove straight up. Atlanta is licking their chops.EVERYONE wants to trade for a malcontent!![]()
13.3% over $1 million incomeCali's top state tax bracket is insane- isnt it almost 14-15%?
even if you cut that in half- saving 7% is nothing to sneeze at.
There's also tons of people moving into California, like always.is that why there is a historic exodus out of California right now and tons of people moving to Texas from California?
Ross and Mo is not moving the needle at all. LOL.I doubt that's even still on the table. However, Ross and Bamba from Orlando could be had potentially? Or a package from Utah or the Spurs?
Boom!Sure, but you get to live in California instead of Texas, Florida, or Ohio. The taxes stay high because they're worth it.
Special needs!!!!THE BUBBLE DOESN'T COUNT

Dude...you need to get out more....and stop watching "certain cable news" (cough..fox..cough) channels.is that why there is a historic exodus out of California right now and tons of people moving to Texas from California?
Well, just being real, if I were an Orlando Magic fan I’d still rip God’s bowel movement, Cleveland.
You might not believe me but I actually did pay that much in 2021I hope they buy you dinner first
is that your argument? Thats it? Guys move all over. Dwayne Wade played in Cleveland.
1. Back in the day- only certain teams were on TV- literally- you would get a national Lakers or Celtics game on a Sunday and little more than that. Now everyone can watch every game
2. The big markets used to have a huge financial advantage. Now they dont- in fact- the biggest factor on team spending is ownership- not market.
3. In order to get big advertising dollars you had to be in a big market back in the day. Now- even more than a decade ago- the 2 biggest marketers in the NBA money wise were in ORLANDO and CLEVELAND.
Those 3 advantages- national exposure, advertising cache, team spending that all used to heavily favor big markets - GONE- VANISHED.
I can add more if you like- but those are the first 3 that come to the top of my head.
I’m fine with living in Texas instead of Cali. All depends on where you live though. There are affordable areas in Cali, you still have to compare what you are making in Cali to Texas. Like for example, my wife is probably making double in Cali. Living her permanantly is a different story in our case though.Sure, but you get to live in California instead of Texas, Florida, or Ohio. The taxes stay high because they're worth it.
Do we have any evidence taxes matter for this? Orlando and San Antonio never sign big FAs.
Remember state taxes are due on games you play in other states, so a player in Texas only gets a little more than half his games free of state income taxes.
