Not to beat a dead horse, but if Barton is on the field 50 or so snaps this game, it will be a 3 point game or we lose. If he's on the field 30 snaps, we win easily. That's my prediction.

I'm fairly annoyed Carroll is still singing the guys praises in the press conferences. Hey, great locker room guy, great effort. Love it... keep those guys around, just don't put them on the field when they have zero athletic ability or football IQ.

Schneider liked Wilson (drafted - and don't get me wrong, Wilson WAS a fantastic QB, he's just lost the athleticism which kept him relevant and is now a locker room cancer), Allen, and Mahomes. He was trying to trade Wilson for Allen, and he wanted Mahomes but Seattle had no draft capital to do it.

Given all that, if Schneider likes a QB in the first this year, I'm all for Seattle making whatever move is necessary to make that happen. If they DON'T like a QB this year, draft DL (Carter or trade down a bit acquiring another 2nd and grab Murphy), EDGE with the two firsts, and ILB (Sewell) and a Center (Austin Blythe can't run block for shit) with the 2nds.. re-sign Geno and with those upgrades you probably have a deep playoff team.

Depends how much guaranteed to be honest, but would agree $33M+ a year is insane for so far a 1 year wonder. If it's $100M with $30M guaranteed - whatever. Fine...

I personally wouldn't want to give him more than a 2 year contract... I'd prefer to just franchise him for 1 season while developing a QB the first year or two before giving him the start...

... but that's just wishful thinking at this point if Geno continues to play like he is...

I mean Geno (at least as of now) is a yes guy. Carroll has explicitly said that you ask him to go do something, and he does it with no hesitation.. which is exactly what they want with Waldron.

I can't put a single loss with exception of maybe the 9ers on Geno this season.. Given how old Carroll is and the fact Geno is just willing to 'yes' everything, I would not be shocked at all if Seattle goes DL, EDGE, ILB, and Center with their first 4 picks. Those are all positions of need and the lackluster talent we have at all 4 is the reason we're 6-5 and not 10+ wins.

That said, if Schneider thinks a QB is the 'next best thing' and the guy successfully scouted Wilson, Mahomes, and Allen... then fine.
