Alot of positives, but at the end of the day the defense tried to give away the game. I don't want to complain too much but can we for once contain a got damn WR? DK wasn't even playing and the secondary constantly allowed 1 guy to have a career day 8 catches for 180 yards and 2 TDs. How can you constantly allow one guy to get open in the zone that many times? Cobie Durrant was the culprit here, he's 26 but has been in the league for 3 seasons. This guy isn't a starting corner but needs to stay at CB#4 or #5, I feel like he is just as bad as Kendricks. Hopefully we can upgrade this spot eventually.
They got lucky with all the clumsy mistakes by Seattle but even so it good to be back at 500.
Robinson's one handed catch in OT was pretty wild but props have to also go to Tyler Johnson. One the winning drive, Stafford threw a ball that everyone, including the Hags DB thought was going to be intercepted. It looked like Johnson cam out of nowhere to make a huge catch.
After watching some tape of the game, the Rams may have received a small gift of sorts because of the many poignant Seahags mistakes. Smith and his receivers gave up the ball on one too many occasions. UDFA McCollough (his fourth INT this year) started it off with that tipped pass by the receiver. Kinchens had two INTs, one for 103 yards return for a TD that the ball was thrown right to him.
The defense continues to give-up big run plays and to some degree pass plays. They have to get more consistent for sure. The D-line for the Rams with Young, Verse, and Fiske are def legit and are going to be a force going into the future. The Secondary has some emerging stars like Kinchen and McCollough but Durant is a joke. Dude is as bad or worse than Kendricks. Both should be gone by the end of the season. Package two of White, Kendricks and Durant and make two trades before the deadline.
And of course, our ILBs, specifically Rozeboom is a complete and utter joke. Speights is getting better but Rozeboom is just flat-out useless. He constantly is of place, easily blocked, and fails to read ANY offensive play correctly. Speaking of ILB, I watched EJ and he played decently but made sure tackles when he had to like stopping cold Kyren Williams on the 3-yard line when the Rams were about to score. Again, he should never have been traded in the first place.
On offense, Stafford is getting better with his throws and the number of mistakes he is making has decreased. Nacua should be sat and healed totally before he is asked to return. We have an emerging star receiver in DeMarcus Robinson. That one-handed catch for the TD in OT was a thing of beauty. Honorable mention goes to Tyler Johnson and Atwell. Allen is playing better at TE but our O-line has solidified and Dedrich and Limmer are playing very well. Avila may have to sit the season out because Dedrich is playing so well.
The Rams really should trade Jonah Jackson if they can do it without accruing any dead money. Jackson is as useless as Rozeboom, Durant, Kendricks, and White. Even McClendon played well when he was in there.
Overall, the Rams played well enough to win. They have a three-game winning streak going and they should do well again this week on Monday Night Football against the Dolphins!
This is an amazing stat and somebody did their homework on Zookie before the draft. Apparently Limmer is better than Powers-Johnson according to this metric! Wow!
Sure, the LA Rams are only .500 with a mid-season record at 4-4. And while the team is currently on a three-game winning streak, there are far too many football
