so that first TD to Mooney, most probably could have been caught in stride if he kept running and was a much better throw. Kmets one hander, top 10 of the year, down the list from Jefferson, but still top 10.

The simple truth is the Falcons beat the bears by making Fields play quarterback.

I am not sold on Fields, you all know that, not until he gets the passing down, but Fuck Getsy and Eberflus with a rusty crowbar for that final drive. Fields stayed down and instead of letting him rest, they call a time out to get the horse back in the game, even after he went down and stayed down, just to get back in and get another quarterback run play called.

I fear these receivers are being lost with all the Fields love, but now I see the coaches really dont give a fuck about fields either. I hope Fields is out for the Jets game, rest up for the Fudge, but I dont see that happening if he can walk.

We continue to fall flat on our final possession. Always the mark of a bad team.

It’s just dumb when Atlanta was clearly prepared for it. And you continue to run him when he’s clearly in pain. Just awful.

Everyone online bagging on Fields for the game ending INT should watch the play again and realize the pass was actually intended for Mooney.
Indeed. Not that it matters..our pass blocking being sh*t gave that play no chance to develop so the routes were on top of each other.

Game went pretty much as expected

Outside observer opinion you can take or leave

I really want to like Justin Fields

He seems like a good kid

But man he holds the ball too long and he just isn't the guy you want when it comes time to actually having to NEED to pass

You guys are going to continue to lose close game after close game with him at QB because he's good enough with his feet to keep you in games but he's nowhere close to good enough with his arm to win them at the end

When the opposing defense knows he HAS to pass he looks completely and utterly lost

I'm going to the Packers game.

I have been to 4 Bears' games and have yet to see the starting QB, not that it has really mattered. The closest I've come, is Rex Grossman starting the 2nd half of a game against, believe it or not, Atlanta in '05.

Saw Chris Chandler in for Kordell Stewart.

Brian Griese for Grossman

Jason fucking Campbell for man crush Cutler. Cutler got hurt the week prior. That shit hurt.

Bring on Trevor fucking Simean I guess. :pout:

When he absolutely has to pass the Bears Oline fails in blocking. So there’s really not an accurate way to judge him as a passer.

Twice in this game he had a free rusher in his face despite the Bears using 6 guys to block and the Falcons only rushing 4. No blitz.

Hard to judge a QB when he’s facing that.

They usually need filler material for the Packer games, so I predict we will see the list of quarterbacks that have started for the bears since Rodgers took over in green bay.

So it is all your fault.

My observations... The D front 4 got zero pressure on Falcon's QB all day. Even the blitz packages where picked up well by Atlanta. Can't say the same for the Bears O line. Mis Q's all over the place.

We obviously need help in all facets, but to me the initial focus should be on the trenches. And between the two of those, I'm hoping Poles gives the DL the top priority. Not that the OL should be ignored and I'm trusting it won't be, but it all starts with the DL. Improve that and everything else pretty much improves as well by default.

Kmet catches 3 passes for 35 yards and is a playmaker.

Fields is responsible for 2 touchdowns and 230 total yards and we gotta pump the brakes:

Meatball shit as usual.

Give a Bears fan a QB that can make actual plays and they will complain. Give them any other white guy that doesn’t do a whole lot but makes a tough play once in a while and they will make that guy a fucking folk hero.
Do you WATCH the games, or just look at the stat lines?

Was his catch that of a playmaker or a chump? Top 5 catch of the year so far, if ya ask me. Must be his terrible hands. How many times was he targeted? I'm sure that was all on him being such a below average player and poor route running en sech, right?

Fields is not a successful pocket passer. His instinct is to bail. With or without real pressure. He is a great playground QB.

Was watching the Charger game last night...the amount of darts that Herbert threw while facing a closing pocket and pressure up the middle was awesome to watch. Fields is NOWHERE near that. I know our o-line isn't great and our WRs are not necessarily world beaters, but he hesitates habitually. On the run, his accuracy is unbelievable, from the pocket, it is not great.

There were plenty of throws where he had plenty of time, but held onto it or bailed out. Just as he has done all season/career.

Everyone knows he's got a long ways to go, except you. We get it, you've got a man-crush. Just settle down a bit, that's all.

I don't have any updates on JT's actual condition - I just learned from you guys that he's not gonna suit up. But it wouldn't shock me if he misses more than just the Jets game, maybe the Packers as well. With a bye that following week, it would give him plenty of time to heal up. Of course this is assuming he's really hurting and needs more than one week out of action.

And yeah, right at this moment the Bears are tied with Carolina for the 2nd worst record in the league with respective 3-8 records. There are however 6 additional teams at 3-7, with that extra game to play during our bye. I'm guessing the majority of them will lose this game, then who knows how the draft order would stand at that point. But a bottom 5 and even a bottom 3 is certainly not looking out of the question.

Theres 6-7 teams out there with 3 wins......not sure where we fall right mow in that bunch but we absolutley look worse than the other teams......
We're currently in possession of the #2 pick. I doubt anyone catches Houston for the top pick. Sitting at 1-10-1 and lifeless on both sides of the football.

We actually look better than some teams with 4-5 wins, I would say. Every game has come down to the absolute final possession besides DAL/GB. I'm not even sure how we managed to lose games like Detroit or Washington. Not to mention, blown double digit lead vs ATL, blown 4th quarter lead vs MIN, can't get in FG vs MIA when we moved at will all day on final possession, etc.

Hopefully we can continue to look like a team good enough to give just about anyone a struggle, while also losing. I don't know how we've been so good at it, but here's to hoping it continues.
