Didn’t see the game, but saw Severino say that Bregman’s homer wasn’t a REAL homer. Then I saw Hagashioka say the same. Then I saw Booney say the open roof is the reason for the loss. Bizarre stuff.

The open roof caused a few balls to right lose speed and become fly outs instead of home runs. But both teams had that happen. I don't know what they are talking about with Bregman's Homer.

Definitely strange. Bergman, apparently, didn’t hit his HR hard enough:

Lotta randomness in baseball but man the Astros look great. Gotta think it's their title to lose...

They were clearly the best team in the field, and their deep staff is a huge advantage with the minimal rest days we have no with this format

Unlike Verlander in game 1, Valdez was not gettable last night.

Jesus Christ that dude can pitch.
he is good.

not that I am TOO BITER (haha)- but as good as the Astros rotation is- it would have been a let up for the fucking Guardians

Guardians in 7 post season games went McClanahan, Glasnow, Cole, Cortes, Severino, Cole, Cortes. That is just fucking ridiculous. thats 4 out of 7 starts from guys with top 10 stuff in the bigs, and its not like Cortes and Severino are slouches.

Huh??

Astros have Verlander(Cy young), Valdez(QS record), Javier had like a 2.5 this year with nearly 200ks, Mccullers who has a major post season high end experience

Garcia and Urguidy cant even crack the rotation haha.

That is not a let up for the Guardians. You would have faced guys as good or better combining experience and more depth. Plus a better bullpen to back them up.

that is a let up compared to fucking going 1. McClanahan- top 10 starter in baseball. 2. Glasnow- top 10 starter in baseball when healthy 3. Cole - top 10 starter in baseball (twice!), and Cortes- who is probably around 20-25 twice.

No it isn't LOL. The Astros starters are arguably top 2, then top 3, then top 5, etc.

Can you never see your teams clearly?

Verlander top 10- then they prob. dont have a guy inside the top 20.....I dont think Valdez or Javier or McCullers are top 20 starter in the big leagues do you?

Cole (twice), Glasnow, McClanahan are all either top 10 or assuredly top 15. Cortes is pretty similar to Valdez and better than Javier.

McCullers is kind of a crap-shoot. When healthy he is pretty damn good.

I would go....

f I am rating starting pitchers for next year (and just next year- not going forward) it would prob. look like this:

1. Burnes
2. Alcantra
3. DeGrom (obviously assuming health)
4. Verlander
5. Cole
6. McClanahan
7. Wheeler
8. Glasnow
9. Woodard
10. Nola
11. Sherzer
12. Bieber
13. Castillo
14. Fried
15. Rodon
16. Urias
17. Cease
18. Ohtani
19. Musgrove
20. Gallen
21. Kershaw
22. Gausman
23. Cortes
24 Valdez
25. Lynn
26. Darvish
27. Wright
28. Manoah
29. Sale
30. McKenzie
31. Strider
32. Snell
33. Sale
34. Severino
35. Kershaw
36. Javier
37. Montas
38. McCullers
39. Bassit
40. Gilbert

Valdez is for sure. In the playoffs the sample sizes are too short to say this guy is top 10 but that guy is top 20. They are all good and the aces and #2s on the playoff teams are all top level and tough to hit against.

I want the Astros to win because I want to see Dusty Baker get another chance at a WS ring and hopefully finally win one.

This is Dusty's year...

I love him as a player, coach and person... He deserves to feel it one time..

Won't find a cooler 73 yr old :))

no fucking way.
so you would rather have Cal Quintrell than Cole or Montas or Lynn or Gausman? Youd rather have Jordan Romano than Nestor Cortes or Glasnow ? cmon now.

McClanahan is not even on that list which is laughable and shows you what it is worth.
