Came here just to post that once again Melvin doesn’t understand 3rd time through the order.

Umpjacked in our favor on that ball four to Adames to load the bases….should have been a K, nasty pitch.

Then first pitch Lee with an RBI single. Need at least a sac fly here

Just catching up to real time here. A few observations:

1. I am sick of Hicks bullshit. Just tired of it.
2. Not a fan of the RanRod moundshattery.
3. Agreed the Rox got umpjacked, I thought Chap's salami was a sac fly.

Good win, still hitting like crap though. We've got Spyder on the mound against Marquez so we should take the series.

SF offense with MLB ranks
4.53 runs/game (12th)
94 wRC+ (20th)
.228 AVG (25th)
.307 OBP (21st)
.377 SLG (21st)
.149 ISO (13th)
23.4% K (24th)
9.8% BB (8th)

This batdouchery is not sustainable. These are the stats of a 75 win team.

The first month of Corbin Burnes' $210M contract has featured the lowest strikeout rate of his career, the highest walk rate of his career, a FIP north of 5.00 and an IL stint for a shoulder issue. What did Buster know?

I really, really wanted this guy.

LOL only if they weren't 3rd in the NL in runs given up. You're doing the thing again. 12th in runs per game is solid. TIMELY hitting just like 2010

Too soon to be sure but we may have dodged a bullet there. Isn't Snell hurt again too?

Not disagreeing, but timely hitting isn't a skill...it's luck of sequencing. At least, that's what the guys who study these things say. They've never been able to isolate "clutch."

Now, if they have the 3rd best staff in the NL, I think that IS sustainable.

Snell can be great, but the back of his baseball card tells you what you need to know. He’s great when he wants to be great. Once he’s paid…the intensity drowns out. Not a Posey player.
