Fair points... Things really escalated after that HBO Real Sports segment with some of the accusers. Since then things look like they have been unraveling.

I can't recall a single time HBO allowed the victims a platform like that in the midst of an NFL investigation. Perhaps I'm forgetting one.

Agree, HBO Real Sport segment put eyes back on the case, then two additional cases filed which stirs up further concern, now looks like two more may happen which would bring it to 26. So the news and spotlight is trending against Watson. NFL being so worried about the brand and public image and think what is being debated is the length of a suspension and/or the exempt list ( although Goodell did say that wasn't in play once criminal charges were dropped). I image with each additional case filed the length of suspension goes longer.

Hmmm...I clicked on it directly after I posted it to make sure it was working. That's horseshit!
When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.

Hmm...It was a Facebook reel shared with public. I just copied the link. Other people are seeing in another post I made. Not sure why you are not getting it.

Come on grammAr Nazi you do understand that context.

Too cute

At least you admitted how dumb your statement about QBs not needing to be at OTAs or camps isn't important.

Keep Spinning, Spinner.
Baker alone is QBs?

I guess spinning to you must mean refuting your comments with facts, calling out your lies, etc. For that I am guilty.

You gave a yes or no then continued to spin your answer. Words have meanings. "All" that is required is a yes or no. Not a boring ass rebuttal afterward.

We all knew you couldn't. You are the master Spinner.
I asked him for a yes or no and he offered a long reply. You even replied to that reply. Didn't bother me. Were you just as concerned about him doing the same Argue Based On Poster Boy?

Spinner, you were the one who lumped him in as one of the picks.

Thus the reason I asked you if he was drafted by them.

I thought it was obvious by me telling you, you needed to stop spinning and try and focus.

You are making this way too easy, Spinner.
actually, no, I wasn't the one. another poster was. I said I almost considered Watson.

Once again, Tommy, can you name a player this regime drafted you'd consider a bust/bad pick?

Yes questions are so spooky.

You must really be a hit at reccess.

Back to the books, Skippy I'm tired of schooling you.
Once again, if you are not scared, can you name a player this regime drafted you'd consider a bust/bad pick?

Saw a stat the other day, Andrew Berry has still not made a cut from any of his draft picks. Pretty impressive. I mean DPJ was a 6th
I mean, one could say he is only doing it as he chose his guys over someone else's picks/players (like when Dorsey kept Chad Thomas over Nassib and Ogbah) but not sure who he kept over a better player. Seems like Phillips, Bryant, Harris, DPJ from rounds 3-6 in 2020 draft are pretty impressive. 2021 seems really good rounds 1 and 2 (nothing before pick 26), too. Mid to late rounds of that draft don't seem as strong as 2020 at least as of now.

Hard to believe someone accuses a FO of being terrible at drafting but cannot come up with one bad pick/bust they made.

IMO, not solely but in part, yes. I never solely. Like I said that wasn't my biggest issue any way. My biggest issue was you not admitting that it hurt them from a cap perspective if he was suspended by giving him such a low year one base

Possible? Sure, but you don't plan based on "possible" when it's very unlikely unless you're stupid and I think they and everyone else in the world thought it was very likely he would be suspended

No. Of course not. Like I said all along use whatever number you want. The point is you could use a much higher number than $1M. Use $20M per year instead of $30M and I don't see any way that cuts into their ability to sign other players. Even at $30M I think they have all the maneuverability they need but use whatever number you want. Although there is zero chance you are bringing in another QB unless he is suspended (still incredibly unlikely even if he is suspsended) and in that case you would be getting his salary back for the suspended games. So if he were getting $30M you'd get back $15M.

That's completely wrong. I don't know what others said, but my point was never just about the cap room, but that is a huge part of it because it enables them to go higher in year one. If they didn't have cap room they would be forced to give him a low year one base even though it screws them from a cap perspective because it would be the only way to fit him in.

I'm not discussing the others because I said 100 times that every team does that with most big contracts but also why his is case is different because on those other contracts they aren't expecting to save cap $'s and real cash for each game those players are suspended because they aren't expecting those players to be suspended
in order....

1) Still not sure how much is does hurt from a cap perspective since what is not used year one carries over AND gives is flexibility if more cap space is needed to bring in other players, especially a QB

2) I'm guessing they thought he'd be suspended. Are you purposely pretending not to see the part that for all they knew it would be shorter (maybe only 2-4 games) or the suspension could take place in 2023. I've said that a few times so please copy this or read it as often as it takes to sink in.

3) OK, wouldn't you rather have $30 mil available as opposed to $15 mil? whatever is left rolls over regardless.

4) was your point just about the cap room? Nope. If I'm wrong and I lumped you in with all the others incorrectly my apologies but seems everyone I've disagreed with here at one point claimed something like "why pay him so little now when you have a ton of cap space?"

5) what you keep ignoring though is paying him more or a lot more in 2022 could potentially limit their flexibility. Once again, please write this down, as when the deal was agreed the Browns very possibly thought it would be a short suspension or it could be in 2023. Guessing if they did what you think they should have then he got suspended in 2023 you'd rip them for that. OK, not guessing. You would.

The attorney did the situation no favors by his bizarre comment on massage therapists.
I have heard he's pretty good at what he does but if nothing else it sure seems like Watson could use a better mouthpiece for this case.
