The Kelenic move...

And there was much rejoicing.

Though this is small comfort when you consider the last time we played against Detroit. More humiliation ahead, I'm sure.

There was really nothing else to do but send him down. I’d prefer he stay down there a while too

Ya there are only so many Griffey's in a lifetime. I actually like it when they fail and then go back down. I think it teaching them a lot more in the longterm. And use I understand never failing is always the ultimate but that isn't always realistic.

Agree 100%

No doubt they are near DefCon-1 as we speak. Tomorrow is a day off prior to the trip back east for DET and CLE. I think he stays in Seattle and the team flies out east without him.

ASB in a few weeks and 18 of our next 24 games are at home. If he goes OH'fer in todays game, you gotta send him to Tacoma till post ASB at the minimum. He is a mess right now and the only fix for what he has got is AAA cookies over the middle of the plate.

And when he is called back up ... sit him against all lefties until he regains his confidence as a hitter. The entire league already knows he waves thru all lefty curve balls.

This move was so easy to read it was funny. My above quote is from yesterday ( Sunday morning LAA Angels thread discuss KKKKKKKelenic )

Likely the very 1st time in his baseball career he has ever failed and struggled. Hopefully he stays humble and really applies himself in AAA and works on what is necessary to be a successful big league ball player. Most likely will not see him up again until late season when they expand the rosters.

I think it is going to be some tuff sledding for the Ms 2nd half. Our current game or 2 below .500 is going to be a distant memory come mid August after a couple series with NYY and OAK and HOU back to back with TB rays tossed in also. Possible sub .400 by the end of August

Have not really had a real bad losing stretch this season .... I can feel it on the horizon

Yea IIRC it wasnt all peaches and cream for Griffey early either, granted he didnt struggle this bad.

Yeah he definitely ate a bit of humble pie... He's a hard worker so I don't doubt that he'll work his way back... He knows what to expect when he comes back and I think he'll be ready...

Hope Kelenic doesn't turn into another Zunino. The Z man was killing it in Tacoma and they brought him up cuz they needed a catcher with a bat and we all know how that turned out. Back and forth to T town and finally left the M's and now he's making his mark. Seattle is known for making a mess out of talent since Nintendo started making it's exit. Dip and Servais are just a bandage when what's really needed is a complete amputation IMO.

If Haase keeps this up he may press for an all star bid considering the catchers in the AL are all time terrible. More than likely the bid goes to Mize or Boyd though with Turnbull injured.

If he keeps playing the Mariners, he will be up for H.O.F. voting.

Most are 0-4 against the Tigers this year. Sad

I thought the same damn thing at the time. I would have rather seen Dillon Thomas make his pro debut pinch hitting.
Having no one hit for Jack Mayfield as the tying run just defines this season

God damn. With those numbers he better be the Ozzie Smith of third basemen. I guess we can go Beltre. But without any hitting.

nah he's just organizational depth due to injuries but even the injured guys arent that great to begin with. Just kinda where things are
