Different Philosophy on how to approach hitting is my guess. There has to be more to it than just bad catching though I think that plays a part. I remember listening to Buhner talk during a game earlier this year and they asked him about if he was interested in coaching and he said heck no. Not after what Edgar went through. I was a bit shocked. I didn't know there was some kind of rift between the team and Edgar. Edgar is the man. How do you fight with that guy?
Banking 230mil plus what they're making this season. Damn pathetic.
But it actually could be. If the batters eye is as bad as they say, then K's go up. If K's go up, good hitters don't come here. If good hitters don't come here, we get what we have had for the last several years. It is a trickle down effect.Like I said I don't argue that t mobile favors pitchers. Stop using it as an excuse and hit the damn ball. T mobile isn't why these guys struck out over 1000 times before the asb.
I get that view, but there is no way vets that hit before here come here and fail because our coaches changed their style. No way would they change their style. Not to a vet who had success doing it their way. That is the head scratcher to me. I agree 100% they screwed up the young guys that came through the system.Different Philosophy on how to approach hitting is my guess.
I really don't care what we spend as long as they fill their holes with quality. Cleveland is $26M below us in payroll. I would swap rosters in a heartbeat. Royals $9M below us. Brewers $7M below and Twins just $2M above. It still comes down to Jerry in my book...but please sell the team Stanton.

I wish I knew. Maybe he was too loved by fans and the rest were jealous? Or maybe his hitting philosophy didn't match their launch angle approach.I had no idea either I thought they liked him they had a restaurant in the bar park after him. what was the problem?
It’s got be something more than just the batters eye though. They have changed the batters eye like what 5 times? But it actually could be. If the batters eye is as bad as they say, then K's go up. Agreed, but people still complain about it apparently. Stats don't lie, there is an issue with the park. It’s got be something more than just the batters eye though. They have changed the batters eye like what 5 times?
That’s pretty sad. Let alone only getting two people in the All-Star game with the first base team. Also very sad but deserving. When was the last time a 1st place team didn't get any players into the AS game? lol
High profile vets no they wouldn't dare but middling average vets I could see trying to tinker a bit. Then they fall apart.I get that view, but there is no way vets that hit before here come here and fail because our coaches changed their style. No way would they change their style. True. They have to pay overtime for the custodians to clean up all the beer cans from the fans watching this crap teamPayroll isn't their only expense though. Yes they make a nice profit, but there are other costs involved.
All players tinker, but to say our coaching messes up all hitters including guys like Wong, Frazier, Polanco and Haniger well I don't buy that. They aren't changing them to launch angle hitters after all their years in the majors. Not happening.High profile vets no they wouldn't dare but middling average vets I could see trying to tinker a bit. Then they fall apart.
Than the only other possibility is they're on the wrong side of their careersAll players tinker, but to say our coaching messes up all hitters including guys like Wong, Frazier, Polanco and Haniger well I don't buy that.
