the only stinker is gibby getting hurt

Thy were on point about AS taking those sacks on the last drive of the 1st half. I thought he should've ran ofr tried to hit Thomas on the first sack, but I can dig that he just ate the ball. Pitt had a hellified pass rush on that play. The 2nd sack should've been unacceptable and would have been if the refs hadn't called time out. That pass to JD on 1st dn right before the Watt sack was a curious decision as well by AS. It looked like he had Thomas open for an easy 1st down just past 8 yd line n maybe a TD if he makes a man miss or breaks a tackle.

And Terry Mac did get his hands on the ball and should've caught it. But if AS leads him better on that play TM doesn't have to slow down and it could've been a TD on the 2nd to the last drive in the 1st half on that 3rd n 7 from Pitt's 46 yd line.

The pass to Cam in the end zone could've been in a better spot, higher, as well.

But I digress. AS played a solid overall and made some nice throws, even looked to go downfield on more than just a couple of occasions. Cam came up huge on some plays as well. So did JD and Logan. The OL looked really good at times as well.

Hell, this is the biggest win for the Skins in the last 5 years for sure and arguably going all the way back to the Gibbs 2.0 era. It will mean a whole lot less though if they lose to the 9ers this week. Hopefully the players have put the Pitt game behind them now and are focused on the 9ers. Gibby getting hurt was a real bitch though and with the dreaded turf toe at that.

Alot of positives from Monday night along with the negatives. AS had Sims Jr wide open down the middle and completely under threw him but would have been a TD. What I believe is being over looked is the job done at the LOS by our guys up front on Watt and Heyward. While they did get some pressure (Watt with a sack) with the leagues leader in sacks, you would have thought they would have been much more disruptive. Great job this past week by the Oline. I thought Moses was having the most trouble all night.

Agree that the play by both sides of the LOS have improved as the year has gone. In week.

Holcomb has helped the D as well as Curl. FAs like Thomas, Schweitzer, Lucas, McKissic, KPL and Barber have all contributed to the improvement of this team.

he went up against watt most of the night i think i will cut him a little slack because he is most likely the DPOY . while moses has been playing like an above avg RT

Love the effort up front. Moses has been a warrior (filling in at LT) and holding down the fort at RT so...slack is given. What I kept hearing over and over Monday during the game was, "Pittsburgh has the #1 defense". I certainly expected them to overwhelm our Oline and we held steady. Just didn't think enough was being said about how well our Oline held up against the #1 defense.
