I expect more out of you to reference the links and bullshit articles that you say exist saying Taylor was a projected 4th.

Every ranking is different but my point stands, both those picks are reaches (which you admitted Brooks was). Every grade I’m seen for Seattle is a B- or lower, usually a C or C+ so my point stands. Very generous rating for a subpar draft at best. When you reach in the first two rounds, that is not a good way to start the draft even if you hada couple nice late round picks. Seattle had a bottom 10 draft...you can be a homer all you want

3rd round - Gallimore - DT Oklahoma

I loved this pick. He was projected mid 2 Nd

Now their 4rth round pick - Reggie Robinson - I scratched my head some. Some had him going in the 4rth. Some had him in the 6th
Robinson and DiNucci were the two head scratchers, but giving McCarthy a QB to groom in the 7th is more than OK in my book. Odds are Dallas could have gotten every player they took without trading up had they waited on Robinson.

I love the Dallas draft and if the only blemish is losing a 2021 5th round pick I say A+

Eagles: A+ with possibility to improve in a couple years.

They needed speed on offense, they got it.
They needed QB depth, they got it.
Needed LB depth, got it.
Needed S depth, got it.
Needed OL depth, got it.

Easy to criticize some of the picks but when your roster is stacked at most priority positions and you’ve made the playoffs the last 3 years and are one of the best teams in your conference, critics often don’t understand your approach.

At least @Sharkonabicycle was somewhat realistic, so I respect him for that but this Eagles draft assessment is garbage.

Cowboys= A

Best draft since 2016. Kind of shocked. Most drafts the Cowboys reach for need and most times it does not help the team.

The Giants did pick up Dion Lewis in FA... put yeah: your point still mostly stands.

Especially if Saquon was affected by injury again, the Giants would be hit hard.
I didn't know that. Lewis should be fine as a complimentary piece, but I thought they needed to get another true RB.

Fine. If YOU think those ratings are accurate, that's fine. Your original post said:

Brooks was rated 84 and taken at 27.
Taylor was rated 185 and taken at 48.

I've asked you several times what site you are getting that information from since basically every site I've seen had them rated MUCH higher than that. I agree both picks were taken earlier than ideal but those players were not 3rd and 6th round projections respectively.

No mock I saw had Brooks listed as a late 3rd rounder and Taylor as a 6th (fuckin' serious?) so I'd like you to link the bat shit site you're using so I can add it to my 'don't ever visit that site' list. If those are your personal rankings, you're out of your fuckin' mind.

I wont argue a B- or B is not fair.. I was tempted to put a B, so I can surely stomach a B- which may be a valid point given the SLIGHT reaches and trade of the 3rd (it's nowhere near a 6th round pick going in the 2nd... give me a break).

That said, if you're going to reference 'sites' that's a fairly lackluster argument. Various sites have little insight into every team and just copy/paste from everywhere else. Point being, I would value your ratings on the Browns more than some random site since I know you are watching every game and know their needs/weaknesses. Clark, Wagner, and Wilson all received sub C grades as well from these 'sites'...

Word is Green Bay, Philly, and Las Oakland Raiders are going to have a 3 man sack race to determine who (based on who loses) had the worst draft.

Its Green Bay and I'm not sure its close.

I think the Eagles reach a bit but the Packers literally look like they're rebuilding a team that was one game away from a Super Bowl and not actually addressing their team needs.

CLEVELAND BROWNS
Overall grade: A-

1. Wills Jr.: A-
I like this pick more and more as I read more about him. I honestly was honed in on Thomas, as it sounded like he was gonna be there, but Wills has all the traits to be a really good, long-term starter.

2. Delpit: B, potential for A
As a cover safety, I'm very happy. He should end up being an upgrade over Randall in that aspect. However, if his tackle issues were about an injury and he gets healthy and improves, this becomes a home run pick.

3. Elliott: A-
He was a top 25 player on may teams' boards evidently, so the value was phenomenal. It helps that he also was at a position of need. I wouldn't be shocked if he was pushing Ogunjobi year 1. Absolute steal.

4. Phillips: C-
I feel like we just drafted a poor man's D'Qwell Jackson. He's going to rack up tackles, but he's a drag down tackler. I looked at him as a nice depth piece/special teamer who would've been nice in the 5th maybe. Given the talent still on the board, I'm not happy with this.

5. Bryant: A+
I could see him making an immediate impact year 1. He's versatile and incredibly talented. Not going to be an ace blocker, but his pass-catching potential is terrifying. This was a phenomenal pick. His ceiling is sky high.

6. Harris: B+
Good value, but an even better scheme fit for Stefanski's offense. He could very well push to be a day 1 starter at RG next to Jack Conklin. With Wills, along with the signing of Conklin, the Browns' OL has suddenly gone from being near the bottom of the league to most likely top half.

7. Peoples-Jones: B+
No question he's an athletic freak, but never put up the numbers at michigan. How much of that is his fault? Who knows. Harbaugh and Co. have been horrible at developing offensive players, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him become a really good player.

I can't remember an OVERALL draft where I was completely baffled by so many picks.

You're spot on. I mean Rodgers is 36, but that's okay. He's not a QB that relies on scrambling. Why the F are they taking picks that they're hoping to be starters (QB, RB, and TE) in a few years instead of just... winning now?

It's like LaFleur came in and was like, "OKAY!!! Time to build MY team!" Uh... you're 40... maybe just focus on trying to win the Super Bowl with the HOF QB you have in place now? You know what's going to help that? Surrounding him with more talent and replacing the great right tackle you just lost.

Not to mention, Love is nowhere NEAR the prospect that Rodgers is. Rodgers could've easily gone #1 overall but because nobody needed a QB after the 9ers he free fell. Love is EXTREMELY raw, undisciplined, and has questionable decision making (Rodgers did NOT have those issues) so he needs a TON of coaching and mentoring. Guarantee you Rodgers is going to flip the middle finger on that (mentoring him) and LaFleur is in the grand scheme and inexperienced coach at 40 years of age...

Anyway, one of the most baffling drafts I've seen..... ever? I can't think of a COLLECTIVE draft I've ever seen worse. I do remember Seattle's draft with Wilson was BLASTED by analysts, but I'll never put much faith into Kiper after he said Bobby Wagner was a better linebacker than Kendricks, Seattle traded down, Eagles took Kendricks, Seattle took Wagner, and then Kiper said Seattle was stupid to trade down and got beaten by the Eagles for their guy, and graded it poorly (along with blasting the Irvin and Wilson pick). I LOVED Wagner/Irvin, I was not high on Wilson, but yah.

I remember thinking Irvin was a huge reach. Turns out I was wrong
