Grade with Fitzpatrick = A-
Grade without Fitzpatrick
= C

Fitzpatrick
- A+

49. Claypool - B+
102. Highsmith - A
124. McFarland - C-
135. Dotson - B
198. Brooks Jr - C-
Davis
- D-

Considering they traded their 1st Rd pick for a bona fide all-pro FS at a position they've been desperately needing for several years... Of whom instantly turned a meager top 15 outfit into a top 5, I absolutely cannot grade this draft anything lower than a A-.

But if I'm solely focused on draft day prospects this year... Then this grade plummets to a C. Can't help but feel like they mispicked at 124 & 198 which brings this draft's value way down. McFarland appears to be a sleeper of sorts so I'm optimistic, but Eno Benjamin could have been had in the 6th. K'Von Wallace @124, and Benjamin @198 would have been way more valuable to this team this year. I loved the Highsmith pick. That's a steal in the 3rd. I'm optimistic enough about what Claypool, Highsmith & Dotson bring to the table to even consider this draft in the B territory.

Cowboys had a great draft
Lamb was a luxury pick, but his addition makes the Cowboys offense a nightmare to match up with.
After that, they really hit their needs by adding 4 picks on the defensive side in Diggs, Gallimore, Robinson and Anae that will make the team and contribute. The cherry on top was trading up with Philly for the center they wanted, giving up next years 5th, which the Cowboys will end up recouping as a comp pick next year. No idea what the Eagles GM was thinking.

Solid A

3rd round - Gallimore - DT Oklahoma

I loved this pick. He was projected mid 2 Nd

Now their 4rth round pick - Reggie Robinson - I scratched my head some. Some had him going in the 4rth. Some had him in the 6th
Robinson is a steal. Mark it down

Lions A- Doubled up on RB and omitted cover LB. Other than that they hit on everything

Pats B Love the LBs, TEs, and OLs. Reached on their 1st pick and didnt address QB

I had him as a sleeper prospect. I figured the Chiefs might pick him up around rd3 or rd4. Played low level ball so people thought his knock would be athleticism but his killed the combine.

They were reaches, both and wouldnt say they addressed everything they needed too. I would say Seattle had a bottom 10 draft tbh. No way in hell they get a B+.

B- at best. They didnt have as good of a draft as you believe, surrpising you think it is a B+

I expect more from you to call out your team!! LOL

I expect more out of you to reference the links and bullshit articles that you say exist saying Taylor was a projected 4th.

Eagles: A+ with possibility to improve in a couple years.

They needed speed on offense, they got it.
They needed QB depth, they got it.
Needed LB depth, got it.
Needed S depth, got it.
Needed OL depth, got it.

Easy to criticize some of the picks but when your roster is stacked at most priority positions and you’ve made the playoffs the last 3 years and are one of the best teams in your conference, critics often don’t understand your approach.

For someone who was down in the dumps after the selection of Jalen Hurts... (a 2nd round pick)... the jump to an A+ overall grade seems quite a feat. ;)

Speaking of which, and thanks for the reminder, whatcha think about the rams 2017 draft class?

Pretty damn good, Kupp was second in TD receptions, Everett is a pretty good receiving TE. JJ3 is on the cusp of pro bowler, Josh Reynolds has been good when he was asked to play and will get more time with Cooks gone.

I saw him run the Philly Special at Oklahoma and realized he’s going to help us win another Super Bowl.

Grade your team's draft? I'm not really sure what that means until 3 or 4 years from now. I realize the media talking heads think they know what they're talking about, so they hand out grades based on what they projected about who goes where, who can't miss, who is value and all kinds of other nonsense based on how they projected their ideas, but it doesn't mean a damn thing until these players play and produce, so I'd give every team an incomplete until 2022 or so...
In other words "our draft sucked" :pound:

Fair enough.

I admit I'm bearish of Hurts... elite physical talent, of course... but his processing speed and accuracy are not even ok for a college QB.

Yeah Kupp alone made it pretty damn good for ya

NEW YORK GIANTS

R1 - Andrew Thomas - OT
R2 - Xavier McKinney - S
R3 - Matt Peart - OT
R4 - Darnay Holmes - Slot CB
R5 - Shane Lemieux - OG
R6 - Cam Brown - LB
R7 - T.J. Brunson - LB
R7 - Chris Williamson - DB
R7 - Tae Crowder - LB

Draft Grade - B

Comments - It's easier to have a good draft when your team is one of the worst in football, you've "earned" higher draft status and you have needs almost everywhere.

That said, I think it was a pretty good draft. I'm satisfied. On a team with holes all over, offensive line was perhaps the biggest hole... and the Giants did what they had to do and invested multiple picks trying to sure up this glaring weakness. Matt Peart is intriguing and not at all a luxury... he's a developmental prospect, but Peart is probably gonna be groomed to replace the wildly disappointing Nate Solder after Nate is cut at the end of next season. (Solder is only playing by default at this point, and the fact that he is one of the best O-lineman on the team tells you everything you need to know about how bad this unit was going into the draft)

The Giant defense is (dare I say it) looking promising, intriguing even. The Gmen have dumped a lot of resources into their D-line and Secondary... there's talented bodies everywhere in these two units, and the DB's (in particular) seem planned to be able to respond/adjust to different match-ups on a week-to-week basis. I love the McKinney pick... and just replacing out ancient Antoine Bethea with this young kid should do wonders for the defense.

Pass rush is still a definite concern. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Finally, looks like new head coach (but former special teams coach) Joe Judge is looking to again build one of the top specials units in football.
Agree with your assessment here, I thought it was a really solid draft. However, with the depth at the position available, I thought they would grab a RB. Clearly Wayne Gallman isn't an NFL-caliber RB, and while Saquon will be mostly durable IMO, if he does get banged up, they have nobody. I thought Eno Benjamin would've been a good fit later on.

The Giants did pick up Dion Lewis in FA... put yeah: your point still mostly stands.

Especially if Saquon was affected by injury again, the Giants would be hit hard.
