Would he be carrying THIS GS team to the playoffs or finals? I think not...

Probably not.

And yet still, that doesn’t prove any of your BS Cleveland narratives.

Because as I have correctly said all along, every major piece of the Warrirors dynasty (Curry, Klay, Draymond, and even Iggy) were more necessary to the Warriors winning than any of the non-LeBron players in Cleveland.

The Warriors relied on a great system that maximized the talents of really good players who fit together perfectly. Cleveland had highly talented support players around an all time great who carried them. The Warriors dynasty never gets off the ground without any of the 4. Cleveland was still good enough to make the Finals without Love or Kyrie.

I'd wager GS would be a playoff team with a healthy Curry.

They're 8 back of the 8 seed right now.

Finals? Nah. It's still like a G-league roster. But the way the bottom of the playoff seeding is this year, they'd be in the mix and it wouldn't be surprising at all if they made it.

So much for he "changed" the game...Getting an 8th spot doesn't really seem like changing the game lol

Only thing he changed was people chucking more three's and that 4 stars helps you win imho

As per usual, you simply don’t get it.

Curry has affected the way the game of basketball is played at all levels. The game has changed a lot in the last 7 years and he correctly gets a ton of credit for it. It isn’t about how “great a player” he is.

Whether or not he can carry a young inexperienced core to the playoffs is completely irrelevant to that point.

Changing the game doesn't really have anything to do with making the playoffs.

The 3 point shot was considered a "bad shot" pretty much until Curry started knocking them down at a historic rate.

Heck, when he and the Warriors started winning, the knock on them was that they'd never win a title because "live by the 3, die by the 3".

Add to that, the fact that he's not real big in a league of giants and not super athletic compared to much of the league and you have a guy that regular folks look at and say "Hey, maybe I can do that too."

It's had an effect from youth basketball on up.

So yeah, he changed the game.

So yeah, he changed the game.

Steph Curry was a regular guy. So regular his best scholarship offer was Davidson despite the fact that he was on the scouting radar as a son of a former NBA player.

He has absolutely changed the game and the focus of the NBA scouting from overrating raw athleticism to focusing more on the player’s skill set.

Yep.

It's funny, I coached high school basketball when MJ was in his heyday. I started the first practice of pretty much every season by saying...."Somewhere, the next Michael Jordan is having his first practice of the season. I don't know where that is, but I know it's not in this gym".

Probably couldn't make that same statement re: Steph Curry. lol

I know I have told this story before, but I was helping with an open workout for local high school boys that both Curry brothers happened to attend. They were visiting family in VA over the summer.

Steph was a rising senior at the time. There were about 20 boys there ages 15-18. Steph was definitely a good player, but he wasn’t top 3 on the court that day. He was still pretty small and he had trouble creating space for his shot against bigger, more athletic defenders. Obviously, he figured that out.

1 of the kids who outplayed Steph that day didn’t even play basketball in college. He did play football at Army though.

That's a nice story, except for the fact the Warriors in 2016 won nearly 2 playoff rounds without Curry even playing.

The Cavs may have been good, but they sure as hell weren't good enough to miss Irving and Love and still win...That would be like asking the Heat to win without Wade and Bosh...How well do you think the Lakers would do if AD went down? Lebron couldn't even make the playoffs last year. Lebron is good, but lets not pull credit away from how good Irving and Love were...In order for you to try and build up GS can't miss a single player in a game narrative lol

You loved overestimating how good Green was and Curry...They were never beating a healthy Lebron, Irving, Love cavs team pre-durant period. They did beat a Lebron delly TT team tho in 6. Noway they won that series in 15 if Love and Irving were healthy, not a chance. 2016 proved this, although i think 2015 would have been a much easier series than 16...GS wasn't as good in 15 as 16.

I think Thompson missing is huge. Curry started the year off pretty poorly. Without Thompson and Durant, defenses can just key in on Curry.

He just wanted to make things a little more difficult for himself because he likes the drama.
