so we're talking 25 to 50 games at 840K to 1.68M a gameAnd Choo will come off that bench to PH in every critical situation. He will get the bat on the ball when Maz would likely K. No way he sits.

Remember he was said to play all IF positions except pitcher and nothing in OF.i know he has played 3rd, 2nd and catcher but I can't find that. are you sure?
okay so I thought we were going to put Santana in CF full time and Gallo in RF.
Heineman isn't a fulltime answer but as a bench player who can step in and give the starters in LF, CF, RF and 1B needed breaks or cover short term injury issues he is an answer. DDJ is a CF'er who isn't the answer fulltime there and that's pretty much it.
Personally I would like to see us get a fulltime CF'er but i'm willing to go with Santana there if that's what the Rangers decide to do.
I remember someone saying that but I can't find any evidence that he has ever played 1st. now I could be wrongRemember he was said to play all IF positions except pitcher and nothing in OF.
okay okay. I was just asking sorry I stepped out of lineI literally said this wasn't a full time proposition. You really only hear the voices in your head?
We're talking bench purposes, i'll take DDJ's defense in CF and baserunning ability over Heineman's ability to play 1B and "power"
Lot of interest in him. Look for Maz to be gone although it would be nice to see if another year would help his cause since we won't be contending 2020.
That is my thought too. This is why moving Choo is better but other teams surely want more stabilityLot of interest in him. Look for Maz to be gone although it would be nice to see if another year would help his cause since we won't be contending 2020.
I agree it would be so much better if we could convince Choo to move on but apparently he is content to play out his last season here and then moveThat is my thought too. This is why moving Choo is better but other teams surely want more stability
Adam Morris said he had one more option. No good reason to just give away Mazara. More upside than Choo. And he is a FB option. Choo is the most polished but still. Guys maybe to be in AAA. Did not think we could do that with Mazara
If you are willing to pay what Rendon is wanting for the good of the team then yes I think they would be willing for Choo to only start 80-100 games. Yes, I do. I don't think they even care what Choo does actually.do you honestly believe that the ownership is going to pay him $21M to sit? I would wish they would but it ain't happening
I am not trying to find ways for everything not to work but come on logic says that what you are suggesting isn't going to happen. I am willing to go with anything that logically works so as you put it "knock yourself out" condemning me for not seeing any logic to your "plan"If you are willing to pay what Rwndon is wanting for the good of the team then yes I think they would be willing for Choo to only start 80-100 games. Somehow you are going to find a way for everything to not work unless it is the way you have thought it should work though. Knock yourself out.
Why would we trade for a CF prospect who is close to the same level as our 3 other CF prospects. And he bats LH.
because he's goodWhy would we trade for a CF prospect who is close to the same level as our 3 other CF prospects. And he bats LH.
Let that LH dog lie and go for a RH relieverbecause he's good
maybe we can get both. but nothing has happened yetLet that LH dog lie and go for a RH reliever
