Werenski signing at 5M for 3 years.

As close to an exact comparable for Provorov as you can get.

That is an excellent comparable id even go a little further to say Werenski has been the better of the two.

Yep, agreed. So I'd say if Provorov elects to bridge, 3 x 5M will be the max. We'll see what happens.

Frost, Farabee, and Ratcliffe playing together at Rookie Camp and apparently dominating. Should be expected of course, they're the 3 best guys there, but still good to see.

I saw a great video of Ratcliffe practicing just standing in front of the net tipping pucks in on shots from the point and he was really good at it. I hope he gets into the Flyers uni as soon as possible so he takes the position of JVR for a lot cheaper.

I'm excited for Ratcliffe too. I love reading about his skill set and shoot first mentality.

I told a baseball ump he was full of shit during a game once, called a balk on me, My Dad took me out of the game himself and benched me, I was so embaresed I never did anything like that again lol. Parents are def the worst though.

Need to find out why the kid felt the need to slash the ref not once but twice.

If the kid slashed the official twice for no good reason other than being upset at a bad call, he should be banned from all youth hockey activities for two years, one for each slash.

Any adults involved in fisticuffs should get banned from all hockey arenas and pay a heavy fine.

Then it would stop.

Agree 100%, youth sports should never break down to this level for kids or adult's, After the first slash my kid would have heard my voice above all else in that arena that day and he would be on the sidelines watching and learning sportsmanship before returning to the ice. I garuantee this kids been told he's a great player and his shit don't stink.

Saw a tweet from Carchidi that $7mil/yr gets the deal done with Provorov? LOL if this deal is more than Werensky....

Depends a lot on the length. Werenski gets a new contract in 3 years. If he stays on his trajectory, he could be an 9-10M for 7 years type of contract at that point. Werenski bet on himself with a bridge deal, gets the chance at a big payday in a few years. Team gets him on a cheap deal for 3 years, plus he's an RFA at the end of it and they don't have to worry about UFA.

I'd rather sign Provorov to 6 years 7M today, than sign him to a 3x5M and open up that 9-10M possibility 3 years from now. Take the gamble on paying your #1 dman $7M during what's likely to be their best chance at winning a cup in the next 5-6 years. But doing that costs money. Have to pay him more than $5M because he's giving up the chance at the big pay day.
