Yep. They aren't giving up Lebron, AD, or Kuzma. Outside of those 3, I don't think anyone else on the roster can be traded until December except Alex Caruso. The Cavs ain't buying out TT for a solid backup point guard.
Unless they call Buckalis and ask for advice.

He seems to have matured a bit more now. A little while ago he even mentioned he agrees why Kobe called him 'soft'
Agree

I think he gets it now.

He has been a one hit * year * wonder at each of his last 4 destinations...

Sometimes, he didn't even last a full year.

He went from possible HOFer to NBA journeyman at the blink of an eye.

This is his last shot at winning.

it's the same. well, I guess the difference is if I disagree with someone I'll provide logic and reason for why. If proven to have said something factually incorrect or that discredits a previous comment of mine I'll own up to it.

You get this is a sports forum, right? what is "not ending well"? Being removed? It would be a little disappointing due to why it would happen, but I'll be OK. If it's the worst thing to happen to me I'd consider that a big win for me.

Pretty sure it won't or hasn't been.

Also, you left off your cliche, but we know, you go by post, not poster.

Actually, I think @dtgold88 and I are pretty much on the same page. I just think the Cavs overpaid more than he thinks they did. But I think we both agree he was overpaid.
Honestly, I don't even know how much they overpaid for him. Said they overpaid some....like nearly every FA in the prime of his career who hits FA.

How much they overpaid? None of us knows really.

Not originally, but his story keeps changing.
Maybe he'll just agree to this and STFU?
You are pure comedy. In this thread you have made comments that were contradictory to your previous comments at least a few times.

Yet instead of shutting up you just double down and make more foolish comments.

me, too....that's the point.

your last comment had nothing to do with anything that was said. How many times can I stress I will help you comprehend better?

Please never change.

I won't but chances are you won't be around to find out being though you aren't smart enough to comprehend what the mod keeps telling you.
You just keep on being you though until we part ways.

Who do you see as his historical equivalent?

Like, I'm trying to come up with a decent comp.

He's not Rodman or even a Larry Sanders rim protecting type.

Dale Davis?

Kurt Thomas?

Skid row Charles Oakley?

True. But I'd bet we could get close. Start with him having no offers from anyone else and go from there. End of the day, it really doesn't matter how much he was overpaid. The Cavs had no choice. It's probably at least a small win that they didn't end up paying him the max.

Going into this year, he's being overpaid by about $8.5 million, imo.

I believe I suggested that possibly LeBron/Klutch got him an extra 8-10M over the duration of the contract.
You are suggesting that much this season.
Who knows?
Some here act as though they need to defend TT like he is accused of being worthless, etc..
Nobody ever said that, he's just NOWHERE close to a max type player and next summer will settle it all and prove what his current time value is.

I like TT. Maybe I'm lowballing, but I think he's worth about $10 million. Maybe $13 at most. I think that what he brings wouldn't be that difficult to find.

Having said that, I agree with dt that there is ultimately no way to really know since he never truly reached the FA market.

You mean unlike Whiteside who did?

“Tristan Thompson: Thompson obviously has a history with James, and while Cleveland could probably squeeze some value out of Thompson in a trade, it should also be noted that Cleveland is nearly at the luxury tax as-is for a lottery roster. If they can save money in a buyout, it makes sense for them to do so. “

CBS has a story up about Lakers potential C replacement.

Would Gilbert help LeBron?
I doubt it.
