First off, if that's the ceiling you see for them, then we are on the same page. Hagg is already a decent 5/6, there's barely any more 'development' to go from decent 5/6 to solid 5/6. And beyond that, who cares if they develop from a decent 5/6 to a solid 5/6?

If the young guy can't project to be a top 4 guy, I don't care that much about his development being stunted in an attempt to be more competitive in the short term. Acquiring Braun is that attempt. Maybe Fletcher is wrong and Braun doesn't improve the team, but in that case, Hagg just comes back in. And you wasted a 2nd and 3rd round pick. But we literally cannot know that today. We'll have to see how the season goes. With where the Flyers are, I'm very on board for risking a 2nd, 3rd, and 'decent-to-solid development' to try to get better today.

And I feel like we must've done a number on you during the Hextall years. Las of seasons passed would never be lamenting an attempt to make today's team better because it hindered prospect development. You're a new man!
We also dont know what Hagg and Morin will be, maybe they will be 4/5's and the two picks will be stars. What i do know today is that Braun at 32 is NOT better than Hagg and was a waste of two picks also two young players development.

I am on board with playing the youth... have been for last 3 years.... I don't think Provy plays like an experienced player. He still has too many breakdowns. To his credit...... he's had to cover for other players' mistakes, often making him look bad. There's just something missing in both his, and Ghost's game --- and I believe some experienced guys around them will make them better.... A LOT better, and quickly.
Provy's biggest problem is his break out game. His cross ice passes make me cringe every time.

My hope for Braun is he eats up penalty killing minutes which puts less injury stress on better players. Hagg needs to prove he can do a little more than hit, he needs to learn to control the front of the net to.

I haven't watched enough of Braun to say that, and I'm skeptical that you have either. But I'll wait til the season to determine my opinion of who is better.

It would be nice to develop Hagg into that player that can control the front of the net but since we traded for Braun we wont know for two more years.

Maybe, maybe not, he may surprise us all and come out smoking this year. I'm still waiting to see Vignaults system and if our players can adapt to it.

The Philadelphia Flyers have the most national broadcasts with 20, followed by the Penguins (16), Cup champion Blues (15), Blackhawks (14), and Rangers (13).

I find it curious that the flyers - by a decent margin - draw the most national games. Is NBC saying the Flyers have the best national fan base ?
I have to buy the package every year to see all the games and them having 20 on national TV makes my bang for my buck a lot less.

In answer to your question yes we have the best fan base by far!!! gooo Flyers!!

I live in South Carolina and buy the nhl.tv package - watch a lot of games while traveling.

Wonder how much influence Comcast has on NBC in getting Flyers more coverage than maybe they deserve ?

But hell, I’ll go with we’re the best fan base. It’s all us Browns fans have had since 1964

Since Comcast owns NBC and NBCSN and the Flyers

If you're a Browns fan you have a lot to look forward to this year. The team is stacked, maybe us Rams fans will see you in the Super bowl.
