I wouldn't want to be paying him much more than $1M but on such a contract he's an asset in a position that wasn't a strength for the Eagles. Good move for both parties.

Miles sanders can’t block. Welcome Jordan Howard and the committee

I didn’t know that. I know almost nothing about him and didn’t watch PSU once this last year. Is he know as a crap blocker cause I never heard that?

Sproles is a legend who needs 163 yards to finish his career in the top 5 for all purpose yards.

Rivalries aside, the Mighty Mouse is a hard man to hate on. Unless you are an ankle surgeon!

Only reason Sproles came back is because the Eagles addressed their horrendous training staff issues. The doctorys were bunk. the strength and conditioning coaches weren't fit to train junior high kids.

Some retired players get into other positions.

Only offers Sproles got was midget tossing.....

Im cool with him coming back in a limited role. Few punt returns, a few short passes on 3rd down. He is still good in that role but I wouldnt say its a big deal. Miles Sanders is the key to whether or not this O is going to be special. If hes got game the O will be really damn good.

Now to find a QB...

I’m a fan as well. Exciting player... good guy but his better days are behind him. My comment was more along the lines of the Eagles philosophy this year. It’s obvious that they are looking for veteran free agents because they see that as the recipe this year. My experience has been that if you rely on too many veterans it costs you later in the season becsuse they just don’t hold up.

Not to mention that's all they can afford.

Honestly, I like the fact that they are not counting on Sanders, or any rookies. The Eagles have good depth pretty much across the board on offense. The backfield situation is, I daresay, Patriots-like in its flexibility. It is not good for fantasy owners but they should have production there.

Oh, and for those who haven't seen it, the Darren Sproles Pee Wee football highlight reel is a classic. Breaking ankles since waay back. He's hardly grown since and still has the same moves. These poor kids who had to try and tackle him...

Wouldn't ankle surgeons appreciate the work?

Good point. They weren't active at all this off season.
They were active. Playing kick the can daily can be exhausting.

Minus Malik they signed a bunch of players that will be eligible to start collecting social security as soon as they retire from the NFL.

Who cares if that is how they add depth? They aren't signing a bunch of old guys to long contracts.

You seem awfully bothered that I said all they can afford are aging vets. Now you're agreeing.

Guess some people like to take the long way.
