Eagles bring back Sproles on one-year deal 36-year-old Sproles will try to go out on his terms after being limited to six games with injuries last year. He didn't have any free-agent interest this offseason, but the Eagles never ruled out bringing him back. Sproles joins a crowded backfield in Philly and won't be guaranteed a role, but he's still an effective kick returner. His presence is a threat to Miles Sanders and Corey Clement's snaps.

meh, still not sure this means he even makes the team. if he does, i'd put his o/u on Week 3 before he's hurt. don't see why they'd want to go into the season with someone that has shown they'll need to find a mid-season replacement for.

I'm sure it will be veteran minimum so a fair deal, but hoping Eagles throw another $1M in cap space at Barwin. He won't help much but a million this year is a million they can't roll into future years and a young kid they have to cut for a roster spot.

Im cool with him coming back in a limited role. Few punt returns, a few short passes on 3rd down. He is still good in that role but I wouldnt say its a big deal. Miles Sanders is the key to whether or not this O is going to be special. If hes got game the O will be really damn good.

Now to find a CB...

I’m a fan as well. Exciting player... good guy but his better days are behind him. My comment was more along the lines of the Eagles philosophy this year. It’s obvious that they are looking for veteran free agents because they see that as the recipe this year. My experience has been that if you rely on too many veterans it costs you later in the season becsuse they just don’t hold up.
