That was his brother Michael. I still remember viemating( sp) his innocence a few years back.

Good player but a piece of work. Still remember when he stole a cop's bike( non motorcycle) and rode around celebrating the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP win

F*+# and now he's NEs problem child. Possibly the only saving grace is BB is no Pete (I'm your bestie) Carroll.

I respect him for taking on the issue of racism in America and the problem with some cops killing blacks.
It kind of reminds me of the LA riots.
The black community was complaining for decades they got treated unfairly by the police. When the Rodney King videos came out they said, “See, we finally have proof”... and then we get not guilty.
He made a lot of mistakes along the way but trying to use your platform to change injustice is admirable
see, i disagree here. the media sensationalizes racism. And definitively racism regarding polic .Yes he had a platform, he used it, kudos to him. But from that point forward, hes been all talk

Don’t want to keep disagreeing with you even though I really disagree with you on the Eagles cap and players having rights too I always respected you but...
Didn’t Kaep sue the NFL for collusion and win?
No. He settled. For those of you playing at home, that means the NFL gave some, much smaller amount of money, in exchange for making the problem go away. Kaepernick withdrew his grievance as part of the deal.

The amount of the settlement was an amount “not as high as $10 million”. It had to be split between Kaepernick and Eric Reid, and after lawyer’s fees, I doubt that anyone’s swimming in a huge Scrooge McDuckian money bin...

Like I said before. Some say the NFL paid out 10 million to make the problem go away and some say they admitted guilt bu dropping 10 million

What else can he do. He’s got people talking about it and that’s a major accomplishment.
He donated millions (plural).
He just made some mistakes along the way. I don’t think the pig socks are a big deal and if I saw you wearing them I’d just laugh. But you don’t disparage the Police and claim racism and then wear them out in public when you’re a public figure. That was stupid and immature

True... but maybe money wasn’t an issue to him. I have no idea. Maybe he wanted to get paid or maybe he was just trying to bring attention. I don’t know the dude so I have no idea

Colin Kaepernick has already donated more than $1 million of his earnings to charity

If you know anything about settlements, there’s virtually never any admission of wrongdoing. Most of the time, the amount of evidence isn’t overwhelming, or it’s acknowledged that it would take several years to complete.

Kaepernick’s claim of blackballing never had much evidence behind it, and indeed could have been seen as defamatory towards the majority of teams that neither had any open positions, nor wanted someone who was a demonstrated headache. The NFL suffered a ratings hit in the 2017 season, attributable in part to its handling of Kaepernick’s tantrum. Both sides had a vested interest in seeing this go away.

In any event, Kaepernick has lost any moral high ground to continued claims of wrongdoing by his former employer. He took the money in exchange for dropping his claim. He either goes back to work for whatever he can get, or quits his time as a pro athlete and becomes a 2nd rate activist.

Maybe he can collect millions upon millions from Nike and still be an activist.

His personal 2016 donations for tax purposes.
His personal 2017 was a total PR thing to try and get back in the good graces of the NFL.

I'm glad many organizations have benefitted from him. I'll just leave it at that.

The only thing he's got people talking about is what an asshole he is.

What could go either way?
An Uncle Tom is a black person who sells out blacks to gain favor with whites. That sure ain’t Kaepernick and calling a black person an Uncle Tom is right up there with the N word

So what the fuck is a white person who sells out whites to gain favors with blacks Uncle Tim? We call a person who is a sellout an Uncle Tom around these parts, we don't do it by race

That’s new to me. Never heard a white
person being called an Uncle Tom

Uncle Tom (N) N. American derogatory slang;
"a black man considered to be excessively obedient or servile to white people."

Where you a sellout, If not why would they? Do you have to be an apostle or Christian to be called a Judas? Judas is someone who betrays you or stabs you in the back, Uncle Tom is a sellout, we don't look at skin color for those comments
