So what offer is better?

LA - Ingram or Ball, Kuzma, Hart and #4 (Garland, Culver or Hunter)

NY - Knox, DSJ, Mitchell and #3 (most likely Barrett)

Boston - Tatum, Theis, Robert Williams (a combo of picks #14, #20, #22)

Portland - McCollum, Nurkic, (take back Hill contract)

I added Portland bc I think they seriously need to think about adding AD.

McCollum and Nurkic combo is the best player combo BUT they take back $27M even if they dump the Hill contract. All the other offers they take back less money (rookie contracts) plus younger players.

I can see that most fans post "what they want to happen"... not what "is possible to happen"!

Most probable clearly is that it's to AD's best interest to stay where he is!

Maybe, but I doubt he forgets the NOP's reaction to his trade request late last January...
"This past weekend, Anthony Davis' representatives informed us that Anthony does not wish to sign a contract extension with our team and subsequently has requested a trade. Although we are disappointed in this decision, our organization's top priority is to bring an NBA championship to our city and fans build our team for long-term success. Relative to specific talks of a trade, we will do this on our timeline. One that make sense for our team and it will not be dictated by those outside of our organization.
We have also requested the League to strictly enforce the tampering rules associated with this transaction."
He's got one year left on his current deal, if he doesn't get traded he will leave in free agency.

Zion wont offer enough in his Rookie season to keep Davis from walking in 2020, so the NOP's might as well get what they can while they can.

Where is the "bad treatment" from N.O.'s side in all this?

AD wanted to be traded, only because he couldn't compete... Now he can!

Interests and intentions change with happenings... AD is young and a TOP-3 player, he and the Pelicans, now have an (unexpected) opportunity opened to both that is an "once in a life time chance" that would be insanely stupid for both sides not to grab it...

If Davis insists to leave now:
- He will risk to loose much more income than he ever will be able to make
- He will risk the opportunity to loose much more fame than he will ever be able to crate for himself
- He will risk the opportunity to win more titles than a player ever had, or could imagine to have!

With the Lakers having the #4 pick, this is why I thought it was better for the Pelicans to hold off on trading AD until later on. They could now get a nice package from the Lakers, which includes that #4 pick.

No he won't (leave in free agency)... He ain't stupid to leave a team that will be competing for championships for ever as long as his career lasts and go to where he will have a non guaranteed future (in terms of success)...

You are missing the point, can the Pelican even risk Davis waking in 2020? After they're 'request' to strictly enforce the CBA tampering rules, it wouldn't surprise me if AD told the NOP's he was going re-up in 2020 and then walked.

Probably wouldn't surprise the Pelicans either, that's why I think they trade him while they can.

If AD were to give them that line, it would be hilarious and would serve the NOP's brass right, after they're request for strict enforcement. You know they didn't have to do that, but basically they wanted to 'punish' AD.

That sort of play stays with a man, it would with me. And let's face it, once he is a FA he will have plenty of opportunity to go to a Championship ready now team, and not one with a possibility of getting a chip in a few years.

But no... he will sign his extension during mid season if the Pelicans go out and buy a PG out of free agency that makes justice to the rest of the roster...

Can you imagine a player of AD's caliper leaving a Kemba, Holiday, Zion, Randle, AD roster that is about to create the most bright history written in the NBA books and go where? to the Lakers circus? To the Celtics disaster?

Not only he will stay with the Pelicans, but I bet you he will even sign a "team friendly" extension so that he can help with the teams future!

He is gonna make an unimaginable fortune out of endorsments anyway!

Like I just posted, it's not about whether or not AD plans on leaving or not.

It's about whether NOP's can RISK not trading him or not, because if they do, they will screw themselves over like they did to AD just a few months ago, if he does walk.

I don't think he signs early, they made a point to screw him. Why would he do them any favors? If he does re-up, he will make them sweat it out.

Also I guess if you want to talk about circus' and disaster's of rosters, we should really see what happens in FA this year, it's really a big year in FA!

Too many bridges burned. Davis needs out of NOLA and they need to move on. Drafting Zion makes it so much easier to part ways.

Ship his ass off to Atlanta or Chicago
Yep. I wouldn't want him back after the circus of this past season.

Right, the Pelicans' front office can't trust AD at this point. Go ahead and give him what he wanted, hammer out a deal and get as much value you can, while you still can.

IMO, the Pels will be very smart if they get Kemba Walker or Kyrie this off season... Then AD goes nowhere and the Kemba (or Kyrie), Holliday, Zion, Randle, AD line up is "pure death" to play against for anyone in the league... Let alone that the Pels just entered the "highly desirable destinations" for FAs this off season...

Umm, how? Pelicans have to dump their cap hold FAs (including Stanley Johnson and Elfrid Payton) to create any cap space. Randle has a player option he's sure to refuse at $9M. If Randle leaves and they dump all their cap holds, they'll have about $25M available, not enough for Kemba or Kyrie.

AD is not stupid... He now knows that the Pelicans can be contenders for the title with this roster and a coach with excellent basketball IQ... All the Pelicans have to do now is to add a PG (Kemba?) that makes justice to the rest of the roster and are all set to compete for the title...

AD also knows that it's best for him not to "jump ships" often, but rather stay with a team and link his name with greatness for all his career. Only reason that AD asked to be traded, was that he felt he could not compete for the title... now he can!

AD also knows that the Pelicans have unexpectedly turned to "highly wanted destination" for FAs and players wanting to be traded...

90% he is staying with the Pelicans... It's what his manager will be advising him, it's what his coach will be asking and will be "all over him" as to convince him, it's what the F.O. of the Pelicans will be putting all its power to achieve...
