Yes

Of course I am a fan of the 80s style playoffs. I always felt it added another layer of rivalry when you play the same group of teams in the first few rounds of t by e playoffs every year.

Do most people want to go back to a 1-8 2-7 3-6 4-5 in the conference format? That would likely mean a change to a more balanced type of schedule of games and likely less games against teams outside your conference. I'd be fine with that.

Division winners. Guaranteed one of their biggest competitors is eliminated in round one.

Yes, but rank them by season finish order. Don't give the 2 seed to the other division winner if they are 3rd or 4th best in the conference.

And re-seed each round. Top remaining plays lowest remaining, etc.
