I do too, but not enough to call it home.It can be part of the draw. I love walking cities, and admiring cool architecture.

I'll fill admit. I'm not "normal" in terms of where I want to live. Don't give a shit about square footage or acreage, which draws a lot of people to the South and Southwest.I do too, but not enough to call it home.
have you?You must have never been to Pittsburgh
To each their ownI'll fill admit. I'm not "normal" in terms of where I want to live. Don't give a shit about square footage or acreage, which draws a lot of people to the South and Southwest.
As long as they didn't steal your grandmother off the roof...Oddly yes, but ours was pre National Vacation.
The main thing I don't like about Philly is just the cost of living. My friend there is looking to buy a house in the Blue Bell area, which is a nice area, but good lord he's looking at spending at least $300-400k for anything even somewhat decent that wouldn't require a ton of work or isn't 1,000 sq ft. There are some fun areas but it's just so insanely expensive.
Cleveland 20+ years ago was still pretty good. It was hit really, really hard in the mid-2000s, and was shitty for about 10 years. Then they started rebuilding a lot of the areas that fell off. Michael Simon opened several new restaurants, and there are breweries everywhere. One of the best parts, though, was the area known as The Flats that fell off in the 2000s has completely been rebuilt and now has a ton of great places. Living in Columbus, which is usually fawned about on the "best cities" lists, I can say without question that I'd take downtown Cleveland easily.
I don’t agree about the food at all.

That never happened but we did drag our dog behind the car for almost 20 miles. I don't know how long he kept up. I doubt he got that far as he was overweight and had short legs.As long as they didn't steal your grandmother off the roof...
I feel like I'm Toby trying to explain to Mike they're just kidding with you. You know how this works, right?Constantly reminding us what a horrible place it is or how the people are trash, and wre the worst fans in the country. Read the article below written by a former Eagle you jacka$$e$.
Thank You, Philly | By Nick Foles
you can say that, but then you have to rethink some fan theories, is Toby the real scranton strangler? You're the worst Toby
i would also not be opposed to developing a vehicle for Paul Lieberstein to be involved in a slasher, in what capacity?who knows.you can say that, but then you have to rethink some fan theories, is Toby the real scranton strangler?
Damn, of course, how did I mess that upAunt Edna
You ever live in Philly?
Phoenix is one big strip mall.
There are tons of ethnic restaurants that you just don’t get in Phoenix. Because of the huge diversity of people in Philly you get all kinds of small family owned restaurants. Miss that big time about Philly.
Like a lot of things about Phoenix but the food sucks. Obviously there are great restaurants but 95% of them are corporate venues while Philly has many many MANY more family owned ethnic restaurants. What I’d do for a Jewish deli and a corned beef special or a whitefish bagel.
What part of Phoenix are you in?
I have been to Philly 20+ times. I've eaten at local joints, commercial, you name it. Dalessandros, Zahav, Amadas, etc. My line of work requires a lot of travel and entertaining clients. I have a residence in Indy and Phoenix (Cave Creek). I actually don't have a big issue with the city of Philly. However, in all my travels, I have ran into more douchebags in Philly than anywhere else. LA is a close second. There is some great cuisine in Philly for sure, but there are some real gems in Phoenix.
Ever been to Famous 48 in oldtown. Phenomenal.
You want some of the best deep dish around? Check out Lou Malnatis. It puts Chicago deep dist to shame.
Twisted Grove down by the Biltmore is amazing.
Philly and Phoenix are pretty much the exact same population. Philly has a lot more history. But Phoenix is just better for several reasons. Phoenix or San Diego is where I will retire.
Philly is a place to visit. Phoenix is a place to live.
Again, where do you live?
