& OP does need to chillax. If you're a true Philly dude you're not supposed to give af what anyone thinks, ya dig? Sit back and have a joint and pop open a nice Yards PPA.

Anyway I love what Big Dick Nick wrote. Hate to see him go, but knew long ago it was a reality. He'll forever be a legend in that town for helping bring home the first in that incredible run. Thanks for everything Nick!
Ignoring the trolling aspect of it I think most NFL fans think Foles seems like a good guy that is easy to root for and can respect what he did

I've always liked Philly for its historic center and its incredible cheesesteaks. In fact it's a good foodie town overall. Now would I want to live there? Not really, but it's a nice city to visit.
The historic center is very interesting, you're right there. It's the only part of Philly I have any interest in seeing again.

The best sandwich place in the city - Lenny's Italian Deli - closed, so there's not even that anymore.

I haven't seen as much as I should for the time I've spent there, but there are other cool neighborhoods. You didn't like going to Bella Vista and exploring South St or the Italian Market? West Philly around the University has some pretty cool neighborhoods and architecture. Fairmount has the Eastern State Penn.

Yep you said it. Even if he did the same for a team that was not my own, I'd still be a big fan of the dude. He's ridiculously likable even if he did it for one of the most hated cities. No drama, hard-working, fun-loving, loved by teammates, family man. I'll still be rooting for him in Jax when he's playing anyone but us

The only reason Philly isn't 100% garbage is because of Tony Luke's.

Philly fans are passionate... sometimes against their better judgment.
Indeed they are. Eating horse poo after winning a SB has to be epitome of passion.

Belle Vista wasn't bad. One of the times I went, my buddy and I got a hotel in Old City and just explored downtown. There were some cool bars and restaurants, sure, but every big city has those. The historical center was the only thing we explored that weekend that was really all that memorable. Brent Celek's restaurant was nice though.

Players almost all live in Jersey versus Philly for tax reasons. I am not sure I understand it, but this has been the case for some time.

That's like saying the only reason Cincinnati isn't 100% garbage is because of Skyline. Just gross.

IDK... Maybe it's just nostalgia on my end, but I like it.

I'm honestly not saying this to troll Eagles fans but it is one of the few places that I visited that I immediately decided I had no desire to ever go back. Heck, even PE got his ass out of there the second he inherited some money...

I moved out 20 years ago. Inherited my money in the last year. I miss the great food culture and the passionate fans. Miss neighborhood too. But I fucking despise rain... that’s why I live in this giant dust bowl. Southern Cali is where I’d like to be but a million bucks doesn’t even get you a nice house.

I like Philly because I can use the “they’re going to grease the light poles” joke every time they lose and it’s usually well received.
