100% fact.

And I'm sure those actual facts will bother mNb09. Hey did you know the only game Jimmy Jam can win on a regular basis since returning to ann arbor is meeeechegan's Spring Game?

Cool story. Got info on how many games Top 25 teams relied on a backup to win?

Depending on how you characterize backup, Bama, Clemson and ND all used a backup at some point. Hurts against UGA, whoever the guy was against Syracuse for Clemson and then Wimbush/Book.

To be fair, Bama did.
Yep, that's the one that came to mind. Among all the top teams, that's the only one I can think of where the starter got injured and the backup had to come in and orchestrated a win.

Based on their schedule that would be the absolute worst possible scenario. They essentially have 3 losable games. At Neb, vs. PSU and at Mich. And I'm using losable extremely loosely with the nebraska game.
I actually think they get shocked by another team, like they did with Purdue this year.

Wimbush was the starter against FSU, but he wasn't the reason they won. Both Lawrence and Brice played like crap against Cuse, but thankfully Etienne went bonkers that day and led them to the win. Hurts is really the only one I can think of that came in and put the team on his back to get the win.

Some of you meeeechegan fans really are a special kinda crazy. In 4 years Jimmy Jam hasn't beaten Ohio State. Has a losing record vs. Michigan State & lost to Notre Dame. He's yet to win his division or a conference crown. His team gave up an all time high 62 points vs. Ohio State. He's the only coach in ann arbor to start his career 0-4 vs. the Buckeyes.

If his name wasn't Harbaugh he would have been fired 5 minutes after Florida bitch slapped your team in the Peach Bowl. But, but, but Jimmy Jam just needs even more time to turn things around right?

Uhhh, no he doesn't.

And I think anyone who suggests Harbaugh should be fired is a special kind of idiot who doesn't deal in reality. Yeah, when you compare Harbaugh to Urban Meyer or Nick Saban at a built-up elite program, no he hasn't accomplished in 4 years what we wanted him to. But the reality is that in the 14 years prior to Harbaugh we won 10 or more games 4 times during that span. In 4 seasons Harbaugh has already done it 3. He's winning more games here than any coach in this century. So maybe cool out on the fact that he hasn't won the B10 yet. In saying so, you're also failing to mention that he's gone into the final game of the year twice now with 1. the ability to control our own destiny and win the B10 with a win and 2. The chance at a CFB playoff birth. No, it didn't go our way. But he's been in the national title conversation now twice in 4 years at the final game. That's also an improvement on the previous 14 seasons. To fire him now would be dumb.

He has 1 final hurdle - beat Ohio State. And with Urban leaving, that's going to be significantly easier to do.

There are few teams who would have fired a coach who's succeeded as much as Harbaugh has in a re-build of a team after 4 seasons because of the loss to Florida in a bowl game. That, more than anything, proves how dumb you are old man. Yeah, if Harbaugh went to Alabama and only won 10 games a year and couldn't beat Auburn in 3 seasons, he'd be gone. But Michigan wasn't Alabama when Harbaugh took over, nor was it even close to the juggernaut built by Tressel in Columbus that Urban took over and improved.

By your own standards, Clemson should have fired Dabo before he ever won a championship at Clemson.

My bad I thought Jimmy Jam had 1-3 record vs. Sparty. But he doesn't have a winning record against them. Everything else I said in that comment's 100% accurate. And your idiotic Dabo comment. More proof you're a homer. When Dabo got to Clemson the expectations weren't the same as Jimmy Jam @ meeeechegan. Nice try, but you fail yet again.

Of course it wasn't dumb ass, which is why Dabo was able to lose 6 games, 5 games and 7 games in his first 3 seasons and not get fired. Talk about failing. It took Harbaugh flipped a losing team to a 10 win team in 1 season. He has three things left to do as far as I'm concerned, beat OSU, win the B10 and win a national title. At this point I think #3 is a ways away. But Harbaugh is a ref's call away from #1 and #2.

We have enough talent that with a mediocre QB we can win 10 games.
I don't know that's true. Your team relied HEAVILY on Haskins throwing a billion balls per game. The running game left a lot more to be desired in most of your games.

They were a CFP "contender" this year before getting brutally beaten by OSU and then Florida. In 2017 they were a dud who couldn't even beat a mediocre South Carolina team. In 2016, they were a 3-loss team. You guys bitched about "the spot", but you couldn't even beat FSU in your bowl game. In 2015, decent team for a first year but obviously not special.

The problem is, you've got 2 impressive wins in 4 years - one was against a PSU team that finished well thanks to a fluky upset of OSU but looked like crap to start the year, and then a 7 point win against Wisconsin. Otherwise, what is there to be happy about? You're 4-5 against OOC P5 teams, and can't even win your division with plenty of talent. Maybe he turns it around, but there's no doubt he'd be gone if not for his name.

You moron. When Jimmy Jam returned to ann arbor the national media (and crazy fans like yourself) slobbered all over his fake coaching greatness. So you're saying Dabo had the same amount of national hype surrounding him when he got to Clemson? Well I call bullshit on that.

Harbaugh also inherited a roster that had much more talent. michigan's average recruiting team ranking from 2012-2014 was 10th nationally, including 4th in 2013 and 6th in 2012.

I don't think you can read.

That doesn't matter though. Jimmy Jam can do no wrong in the eyes of some his fans. And like I have said over & over. He's a damn good coach. But he's not elite. I can't remember a coach in any sport that has done so little yet gets so much praise.

Yes, he did. Which is why he was able to turn things around far faster than Dabo at Clemson (mind you, a lot of that 2013 and 2012 recruiting classes was not on campus by the time Harbaugh got there but still we had a lot of talent on the roster). But we still had major talent deficiencies on the team in Harbaugh's first few years; especially on the offensive line. This was the first year we weren't reliant on freshman starting on the offensive line.

Do you have a life sized cutout of Jimmy Jam in your kitchen? And how much longer will you celebrate meeeechegan being co-divisional champs?

Celebrating that your team didn't win the division.:pound:

This is just a stupid argument. There are few teams who'd fire a coach who's won 10 games, 3/4 seasons.
