It looked fine to me and I don't really have a problem with the recent player protection rule changes. But I didn't see it as leading with his head or anything like that.

Oh I like player protection no doubt but as you said he didn't lead with his head, didn't hit him in the head, technically maybe he was "defenseless" but that's a stretch at best
