1. The Eagles are 2-2 and I am ok with that considering the injuries they have had. It could be worse we could be 0-4 because all the games were close. The key for most teams is to come out of September with a .500 or better record. If you are unable to do that you are in trouble.

2. Carson Wentz just played his second game in 9 months. He did not take a single snap in the pre-season so giving the situation I think he has played really well. I would be concerned if he would have been bad. Could he play better? I think so and I think as each week goes by he will continually get better.

3. Nick Foles should start over Carson Wentz? That is so stupid it should not even warrant a response but it managed to get a thread to 11 pages..... ROFL.

4. Here is what is really stupid. The suggestion that Wentz is playing bad is just stupid. The part of the team that is playing bad is he defense. The secondary is pitiful. They were given a 14 point lead after half the clock was eaten up in the 3rd Qtr and their response was to make Mariota look like Aaron Rodgers.

5. It is a long season and I still think the Eagles win the division. They are still the best team in the NFC East.

6. Jim Schwartz better pull his head out of his ass. The only way you can get away with rushing just 4 is if you have elite corners. Well he Eagles do not have elite corners. His refusal to blitz is just fucking stupid. If you have Jalen Mills as one of your corners you need to get to the QB quickly.

Agreed on most of your points but disagree strongly on #6. The only way you can get away with rushing 4 is if you actually generate a consistent pass rush. They did this last year pretty well. They aren’t doing it this year very well. If you rush 4, even with elite corners, you still need to get to the QB or the corners will eventually lose their battle.

Since the pass rush isn’t getting home frequently enough, you’re right that he should make the adjustment to blitz more but I don’t think it’s the cure-all. Because then you’re leaving your not-so-great secondary in a very vulnerable position if you don’t get to the QB.

As far as Wentz, I’ll micro-analyze a bit but I thought Matthews beat his man on the last offensive play of the game and he had him for a TD. Bad decision to go to Ertz there. But I expect him to get sharper as the season progresses.

The Eagles have one of the best front 7's in the NFL. They can get to the QB with just 4 but the Titans kept extra blockers in. The Eagles were getting to him and did generate some good pressure but when he escaped it we were burned. It feels as though when the secondary saw pressure the assumed the line would get to him and that did not happen.

Every blitz the Eagles ran yesterday was up the middle. They did not do anything special like the Titans did. They were coming at Wentz from all directions. Every time the Eagles blitzed it was picked up because I believe Schwartz has only one blitz package because I see the same thing over and over.

Here is why I will not completely micro-analyze Wentz just yet. He has not had any play time and we all know practice is not a good substitute for game play. That is why most of the NFL games are such shit the first month of the season because teams are not getting the reps that are needed. However I will say this. Wentz did ok his 1st week back and he was better his 2nd week back. I think he will continue to improve.

I realize this thread is probably troll bait, but with the game on the line Mariota made plays when needed against an excellent defense. Wentz struggled when it really counted. Cousins syndrome plain and simple.

He’s a good QB, and he will get better, but if he made a few more plays down the stretch, they put the Titans away.

Um yeah, I would say that's fair, but I would also so a few drops by the wide outs also contributed as well, "Hey let's resign Jordan Matthews!"

As for that "excellent defense" let's just say the front 7 is fine but that back half is missing a couple of real good corners...

I don't troll, you just get too upset over nothing. If you can't see the difference between my posts and others, then you need help reading them. You always said it was just the people on the Cowboys board. Then you came here and now it's still everyone else. At some point you need to accept you are part of the issue. And stop being so thin-skinned. Look at your post. In an effort to back Wentz you literally trashed practically your entire team.
