Hmmm?

Arenado might not even be his own teams MVP either.

But I do agree Cain won’t ultimately finish up there in the voting

Yeah, a 2.96 ERA for a Rockies pitcher is pretty spectacular. Story's no slouch either.

Freelands been pretty crazy good.

And Story seems to be gaining the MVP traction on sites compared to Arenado. Even tho Nolan’s Stats are still slightly better across the board.

Pretty wide open this year. I literally have no idea who is going to win. Frankly it could come down to who has a great last few weeks . Yelich has as good a shot as a few other guys . Hed be in my top 3 right now with Baez and Arenado but Rockies guys have an uphill fight to win individual awards

Carpenter will get some love too but the Cards are scuffling so that may hurt him if they miss the playoffs

Because all those RBIs have done wonders for Encarnacion and Arenado in the past in regards to MVP voting. Even when Encarnacion led the AL with 127 in 2016, he finished a mere 14th in the voting.

And Cain's a leadoff hitter. I'm *shocked* that a leadoff hitter has few RBIs.

(And Cain has hit .349/.481/.398 with RISP this year, but he's only had 106 plate appearances with RISP.)

Who was the last leadoff hitter to win the NL MVP? Maury Wills, '62?

Make that 5 walks...the Cards decided they weren't going to let his bat beat them tonight...but he still scored the Brewers 2 runs...

Jimmy Rollins (675 PA batting 1st, 103 batting 3rd)

Saw him, but skipped his splits assuming his 30 HRs would've prompted moving him from first (oops). As for Rose - I just skimmed past him. Hence the question and not a statement, I wasn't entirely sure. Still, 3 times in the last 60 years means he's gonna have an uphill climb.
