if this is his 1st suspension. The NFL should stay consistent & suspend for however many games that calls for. Even though the only consistent thing the NFL does is be inconsistent.

With that said I say He should miss a minimum of however many games the player that got hurt misses.

Meaning if the player had a one game suspension but the player missed 2 games. Then that player should also miss 2 games.

If the player had a three game suspension & the hurt player only missed one or two games, then the 3 game suspension stands.

The fact that he continues to do this I would agree with the 3-game suspension but I also wouldn't mind if it was higher. He was coming in with elbows up knowing the slide was coming. There was nothing sound about what he did in that situation. He was aiming to hurt. And the fact he has done this multiple times across his career shows he doesn't respect what the rules are saying.

3 games is appropriate. Sean Payton will probably make trading for him a priority in the offseason.

But should there have also been a 10 second runoff? Otherwise teams will try to clock it without even snapping the ball. It would be an extra time out for the cost of 5 yards and with 12 seconds it could be 2 plays.

As far as the guy I call Al Quaeda, there is a reason he has not stuck on a team, he is a head case that the GM's know will ultimately cost more than he is worth. This is his 6th offense. Its the guy that punched Roshon on the sideline for doing nothing. If he got kicked out of the league he will likely end up in prison.

3 game is fine with the understanding that the next time he pulls something dirty he's getting at least half a year, if not a full season suspension.

I think a fine was enough for that hit. It was a clean hit. Not his fault you got a clown commissioner that overreacted . Lawrence got greedy for more yardage and started his slide too late. I have seen worse than this done to Dak and no flag was thrown

Stuff like this is gonna happen when quarterbacks decide to slide late after the defender has already committed to making the tackle. Stuff like this and this shit Mahomes does where he fakes going out of bounds so people don’t hit him is gonna get people seriously injured unless the NFL changes the rule themselves.

Yeah but a forearm to the head is not how you tackle. A late hit could have been acceptable with just a flag or no flag because you can say Trevor slid late. Forearm to the head at anytime should be flagged always and in this case three games is warranted.

Well Lawrence has been put on IR.
So he will miss more time than the suspended.

Put yourself in his position though. It could have been that he was committed to make the tackle and the best way for him to avoid a hand or wrist injury was to break his fall by using the forearm? It makes sense
