No doubt Quinn thought he was a lock for the HC. ooops
Dallas or Seattle for sure. He was kinda left with Washington and they with him. That game hurt Dan for more than Mike. I mean who is all that shocked when you line up a 200lb LB directly behind Parsons? Still shocking Quinn somewhat got away with it as long as he did last year.

If the Eagles win the division do you think Sirianni is gone? I doubt it. He was just in the Super Bowl 2 years ago.
I don’t think they can fire him if he makes playoffs again. That’s 4 seasons and 4 playoff trips.

Washington isn't the bad franchise they used to be. They have a pretty good rookie QB and a good OC.

That could be a blessing in disguise.

The Bills exposed that in their game and the Packers copied it to bounce the Cowboys from the playoffs. Dak not playing well helped, especially that 1st half, but after watching the Bills game any coach worth their salt should've copied that plan when Dallas was on D.

Really?

They fired Pederson and he won a SB....
Pederson was fired because he fell on his sword for his OC. He was told he had to get a new OC. He said no I should get to pick my staff. They said haha that’s funny. Need a new OC. Doug said I’m keeping my guy. Lurie said ok then we are going to fire you.

Based on the recent report relaying more detail of last season he probably should have. He did what Pederson refused to do…he was good with his coordinators being fired and new ones hired.

I’d be shocked if he is the coach next year if they lose in the first round
Fair. I could see that especially if it isn’t a tightly contested game.

Full disclosure same for our coach. No chance McCarthy survives a first round loss or playoff miss and one of those two is likely going to happen. I only spoke of Sirianni because that was the topic

No they're not and I'm not dissing Washington for getting Quinn. I just thought he was thinking Dallas or Seattle would be a lock for HC but didn't happen but good for him that Washington called. He has a real chance to get that franchise going and I do believe Jayden Daniels will be a very good QB and probably the best QB out of his draft class and you know me being a Husky fan how much I'm a big Penix fan.

I'm not sure who else would want the Eagles job. Sure, it's an NFL HC job, but there are very few opportunities to make meaningful player changes outside of the Draft.
Yeah I’m sure NFL coaches would prefer to coach for teams with no players. Are you for real?

If Sirianni is fired it will be because the team failed again 1 year after it collapsed. Who wants to take over a team of veterans that fail and not be able to move any of the failing veterans out because it will bring forward a cap hit that the team can't absorb? The Eagles have maxed out the cap hit of every veteran contract for 2024, 2025, and 2026.

A team with no stars but cap space and Draft picks can be rebuilt fairly quickly. A failing team that has already spent $200M of future cap resources? Not so much.

The right coach that actually coaches and motivates and gains the respect of the veteran players can easily turn around this team. The 3 things I mentioned Sirianni is not. There will be plenty of coaches to choose from college and pro to get the right guy.

Sirianni has a always seemed more PA High School football coach to me.

looks like McCarthy may be solely held responsible if things don’t turn around. While I do think Dak is as good as or better than half the QBs not named Mahomes or burrow who have been paid in the 50’s. I think this would be a big mistake unless the Jones Boyz are going to hang ‘em up because they’ve kind of proven they can’t build a team in a cap world that includes a high paid QB Who isn’t elite. Why just continue down the same path for 5 more years.

Going back to Andy Reid, Jeff Lurie goes after the guy nobody wants so that the front office can control the “happy to have this job” guy. That’s Andy Reid before anybody wanted him. That’s Pederson and Sirianni who everybody laughed at when they hired him. The only guy they’ve hired that was on the list of other teams is Chip Kelly and that ended badly. The Eagles want a Yes man when it comes to their head coach.
