To be fair, I do enjoy how balanced this particular rivalry is. It's been alternating since the beginning really.

Think Patterson is going to disappoint Michigan fans early. Guy had one of the better WR cores in the country at Ole Miss and just wasn't good against pretty much any defense with a pulse.

I don’t think anyone at Michigan is calling for Patterson to be a savior. He just needs to be better than average.

Our QBs literally threw more interceptions than touchdowns last year. If he is slightly better than an average QB, UM will be light years better than last year.

Also — he will be a QB in a different offense and be asked to make different throws than he was at Ole Miss. It is why when people ask what I expect from him, I say I have no clue, as I’ve never seen the guy take a snap under center, or work in a pro style offense? I know he will be much better than anything we put on the field last year though and that’s a good thing.

This is where I think he will struggle big time. Ole Miss is a pretty favorable QB system, I don't think Michigan is near that. Especially if their WRs don't start playing better this year (oline needs to block better as well), it's going to be struggles in the passing offense once again.
