There's 3 that immediately come to mind for the Braves.

1. Trading Elvis Andrus, Neftali Feliz, Matt Harrison and Jarrod Saltalamacchia for what was basically two half season rentals of Mark Teixeira and a rental of Ron Mahay. Andrus, Feliz and Harrison could have been a big help going forwards.

2. Trading Adam Wainwright, Jason Marquis and Ray King for one season of JD Drew and Eli Marrero. JD Drew had a great season his one season in Atlanta, but we traded away who would have been our ace for years to come to get him.

3. Trading Alex Wood and Jose Peraza(along with some below average relievers) for Hector Olivera. Traded away one of our best starting pitchers and one of our top ranked prospects(at the time) for a 30+ year old Cuban "prospect" that didn't even make it a month on the Braves active roster before getting arrested for domestic violence and never playing again.

Best trade by far would have to be Doyle Alexander for John Smoltz.

Smoltz for Doyle Alexander, in hindsight.

Jim Bunning to the Phillies was not a good one.

Alfredo Simón for Eugenio Suárez and Crawford was bad. Simon was hot garbage. Pretty much every deal DD made for pitching was horrible aside from the Fister deal and the big three teamer that landed Scherzer.

The Juan gonzalez deal was bad too. Forget who all was involved. Catalanato, Gabe Kapler and
Francisco Cordero were in there.

Doyle did what he was suppose to do 9-0 1.53 ERA and got us to the playoffs (then we blew it). John Smoltz went on for a Hall of Fame Career for the Braves ... I would call that a win win!!!

Cabrera for Maybin, Miller and Badenhop is prolly our best. Really not awful in retrospect for the Marlins. If they'd kept what they got.

Kinsler for Prince Fielder also a good one. What with the neck
Fusion.

The only bad thing about the trade with the Marlins was yall had to take Dontrelle Willis with him. Even if the Marlins had kept what they got, they would have wound up with a below average CF for several years before he finally came into his own, and lockdown reliever(they're the Marlins, so they probably would have just left him to die as a starter) and a journeyman reliever for arguably this generations greatest position player.

Babe Ruth

Jeff Bagwell

Curt Schilling/Brady Anderson for Mike Boddicker (Boddicker was good in Boston, but the Sox missed out on most of Schilling's career and a good player in Brady Anderson)

Anthony Rizzo/Adrian Gonzalez I guess. Gonzalez had an MVP-caliber first season, but his power fell off in 2012 and he was involved in the massive contract swap with the Dodgers. Rizzo's put up 26.1 WAR in the majors and has been one of the best hitters in MLB over the last four years. 1B has been up and down for the Red Sox.

JD Drew did his job for us too. He had arguably the best season of his career, the Braves won the East, but it turned out to be a one year rental that has saw Adam Wainwright have an excellent career with the Cardinals for.

Drew had an MVP caliber 2004, but man the NL was stacked with monster performances that year. Bonds had a 9.035 OPS (this is accurate, don't bother to check), Beltre hit .334/.388/.629 with 48 home runs while playing sexy defense at 3rd base and the Cards had three MVP caliber players (Pujols/Edmonds/Rolen), and Berkman had comparable batting stats to Drew. And though they didn't get nearly as much support, Todd Helton had arguably the best season of his career and Randy Johnson had a 176 ERA+ over 245.2 innings.

Was a shame Dtrains body gave out so young. He was a lot of fun to watch.

Maybin had no buissness being in the majors so young. But it was sweet seeing him take tRicket deep.

Rick Honeycut(ptbnl lolz) to the M's for Dave Pagan.

That is probably the worst, either that or sending the Yanks Willie Randolph/Doc Ellis for a scrub.

But, the one I can remember ranks number 1 on my own personal list.

Aramis Ramirez and Kenny Lofton to the Cubs for Bobby Hill, Jose Hernandez and Matt Bruback.

Does it have to be a trade?

Because nothing the Rangers have ever done will be worse than the contract they gave ARod.

Rick Reuschel was another one,but don`t remember if he was traded or if he signed with Giants via freeagency.

As mentioned, Sandberg/DeJesus was pretty freaking bad. Ferguson Jenkins for Larry Jackson and Bob Buhl has to second worst.

A lot of people will bring up Curt Schilling, but he was going to have to go regardless considering how badly he wanted to pitch for a contender. Still, I wish we could have gotten a better return for one of the 10 best pitchers of his generation than Omar Daal, Travis Lee, Vicente Padilla, and Nelson Figueroa.
