Badgers defense has allowed 10 ppg if you take away the points allowed by the pick sixes from the QB (Iowa and Nebraska game). They've allowed 8 ppg if you take away the points the second stringers allowed in the 4th Q when the games were essentially over (Northwestern and Illinois game) and they've allowed 6.5 ppg if you take away all the turnovers that were within the Badgers own redzone.

After seeing this OSU team vs Oklahoma, get destroyed by Iowa and down 20-14 vs Okornhole and Michigan with JT Barrett playing an the refs giving them every call I see no possible way they even come close to the Badgers in this game. Even if Hornytoad gives them 2 free pick 6's I would still feel confident like I was vs Iowa. Hell, even the refs giving them every call won't help. OSU's charmin soft defense is a joke.

All their fans or any pundit can do to justify OSU winning is bring up the game 3 years ago when the Badgers had a different core team and coach, their "much more talented 5* recruits, or the vegas line). All of that is irrelevant to this game. What I see is a team in OSU that beats up the cup cakes by a good margin but struggles vs the tougher competition. I have no doubt in my mind that if Peters was the starting QB and JT stays healthy the entire game and it's an equally called game Michigan would win that game. Hell, I think Michigan was a tougher opponent than OSU.

@Across The Field time to finalize the Avi bet. It doesn't matter who your QB or how many calls the refs give you it won't be enough. If JT doesn't go it might be closer but still won't matter as the Badgers will take your soul. Our defense will make your offense look like Minnesota did vs us.
Refs? Do you actually have anything to back that up or is it just retard logic? Straight up avy bet, loser keeps it up until their team's season is over.

If you watched the game — You’d know that 4 of the 5 sacks were coverage sacks and even the announcers called out O’Korn multiple times for not throwing the ball away as he was outside the pocket.

In all honesty, I thought OSU was going to destroy UM’s OL, but we had more time to throw in that game than the majority of our games. UM ranks 112th in CFB for sacks allowed. I expected O’Korn to have zero time to throw and it was the complete opposite. The coverage sacks don’t surprise me though — UM’s WRs have struggled all year.

You want to argue O’Korn is more athletic? The fastest QB on our team. Peters. The highest vertical. Peters. The broad Jump. Peters. 3 cone drill. Peters. Strongest arm. Peters. Strongest QB. Speight.

UM does a mini type combine — Peters swept everything but either bench or squats?

The other thing about Peters — he is much more decisive with the ball. He goes thru his progression and gets rid of the ball. His biggest issue — doesn’t have a full grasp of the play book and multiple times has turned the wrong way to handoff the ball.

I’m not saying Peters is the messiah, but he is much better throwing the ball than O’Korn.
He's also still a kid, and I did watch the game. Call them what you want, but it's not like our DL wasn't getting plenty of penetration and getting to the QB. In seeing both of them play, Peters just looks like a statue. I'm not saying O'Korn is on JT's level or anything, but he seems more elusive. Oh well, game's over and we won decidedly, so I'm happy.

Our ability to cover TEs worries me in this game. Hornibrook is meh but he isnt going to miss them if they are wide open all day like Michigan's were (Korn Kob is awful)

Agreed. Fumagalli is the wild card. If Hornibrook can find him 6-7 times, it will cause a safety to be assigned and open up the run game for us.

Hopefully the seam route isn't open all day long like it was for Iowa. :L

Should be a great game. As always with Wisconsin, if Ohio State is unable to get them out of their comfort zone, it will be a very difficult game to win.

Essentially, that means forcing Wisky to pass the ball downfield. The Buckeyes can do that by going up a few scores early or stuffing the run on early downs. If Wisky is able to get 3+ yards on first and second down on the ground, it's going to be very difficult to consistently stop them on 3rd.
Well, that’s just how you play football.

In 2 1/2 quarters — Peters threw for 160 against Wisconsin. In 1 1/2 quarters, John O’Korn threw for 18 yards (and was 2 for 9 throwing the ball)
Yeah, when his team was down and he had to throw, and Wisconsin knew it.

In general, yes. It's especially more important vs Wisconsin because their entire offense is predicated on winning early downs.

In contrast, with a wide open offense like OU, stuffing the early run is helpful but Mayfield can just as easily burn you in 3rd and 8-10 as he can 3rd and 4.

Done and done.

As for the refs, the fact that OSU fans in the game thread that the refs were favoring OSU is all I need.

I like Ohio State by 10. It's our defense that will stop both the running and the passing.

This post confirms your homer status. A game where UM had the ball with 2 minutes to go, with the score 24-20, you won ‘decidedly’. :L

A game where even Buckeye fans were posting how OSU was getting all the calls. A game where Buckeye fans have posted how O’Korn missed wide open players and hope it doesn’t happen against Wiscy.

Lastly, O’Korn isn’t elusive — he has happy feet. If he even thinks pressure is coming, he takes his eyes off his receivers and is looking to get out of the pocket. That is great, IF you are keeping your eyes downfield, like Mayfield does, that is being elusive. You take your eyes off your receivers, scrambling out of the pocket does nothing. Does he get a few yards now and then? Yeah. But he takes unnecessary sacks way too often, because he loses track of his targets (ala multiple times in the OSU game).

We already seen it with Iowa and Michigan. Easy wins.

You do know the B1GCG isn’t played in Madison, right? And the tough team won’t have the 101st ranked offense (Michigan) or the 106th ranked offense (Iowa)? Nor will it be the 118th, 120th, 122nd, 128th and 129th all of which I believe Wisconsin has played.

Charmin should have sponsored Wisconsin schedule this year:behindsofa:

In before “they were ranked at the time” or “they would be ranked if they didn’t lose to us”.

When their highest ranked win is Northwestern, I suppose I can't blame him for the "at the time" nonsense. It is ridiculous, though.

I feel bad for the good Badger posters who have to put up with this shit. Seek help for your referee obsession. Every game thread it's the same damn thing. BLAME BLAME BLAME. You would think with an undefeated season, you'd change - but nope.
Maybe one of these will help:
