I would sign Swearinger as a FS and let Cravens play SS. We need to get Cravens on the field as much as possible and stop using him as a gimic player in only certain packages.

Bottom line is that I would like us to take the same approach the Giants did this offseason. Use high draft picks on defense and bring in 3 immediate starters on defense.

Targets we should look out for sure:

Brandon Williams = NT
Ronald Leary = LG
Nick Perry = OLB
DJ Swearinger = FS
Zach Brown = ILB

We need to target these players and draft to fill in the remaining holes. Clearly we can't sign all of them so I would mainly target Williams, Swearinger, Perry and Brown. We can draft a DE, RB and RG.

Brandon Williams = NT

NT has to be the top priority and Brandon Williams is at the top of the list. If we can't get Williams my second choice would be Johnathan Hankins of the NY Giants and then Abry Jones of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Lots of good safeties to pick from. We have to address those spots for a change and stop dumpster diving with stop gaps.

We need to come away with at least 4-5 starters in free agency because we can probably only really get 2 out of the draft.

Nice catch, I mean LG. I like Scherff where he is. If we don't sign Leary or someone else to play LG, we can always draft one.

Bottom line, defense needs to add speed, speed and more speed!

Yes, Kerrigan and Murphy in a 34 base set are slow OLB's, but in a 43 base set would be fast DE's. New scheme could add speed to the D as well.
