REDSKINS RE-SIGN T TY NSEKHE



LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have re-signed exclusive rights free agent tackle Ty Nsekhe. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.



Nsekhe (6-8, 335) has appeared in 31 career regular season games with six starts. Last season, he appeared in all 16 games for Washington, making four starts across Weeks 10-13. In that four-game span, the Redskins averaged a league-best 435.3 yards per game and allowed only five sacks.



Nsekhe, 31, played collegiately at Texas State and Tarleton State after attending Bowie H.S. in Arlington, Texas. He was born Oct. 27, 1985.

REDSKINS SIGN WR BRIAN QUICK



LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed unrestricted free agent wide receiver Brian Quick. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.



Quick (6-3, 218) is entering his sixth NFL season after originally entering the NFL as a second round pick (33rd overall) of the St. Louis Rams in the 2012 NFL Draft. He appeared in 67 career regular season games with 23 starts with the Rams from 2012-16, compiling 105 receptions for 1,499 yards with 10 receiving touchdowns.



Last season, Quick appeared in all 16 games for the Rams, recording career highs in starts (eight), receptions (41) and receiving yards (564) while matching his career high in receiving touchdowns (three).



Quick played collegiately at Appalachian State, starting 36 of the 54 games in which he appeared for the Mountaineers. He established school career records for receptions (202), receiving yards (3,418) and receiving touchdowns (31).



Quick, 27, attended Ridge View H.S. in Columbia, S.C., where he earned all-state, all-region and all-area honors. He was born June 5, 1989.

REDSKINS SIGN LB ZACH BROWN



LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed unrestricted free agent linebacker Zach Brown. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.



Brown (6-1, 248) originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (52nd overall) of the Tennessee Titans in the 2012 NFL Draft. In five combined seasons with the Titans (2012-15) and Buffalo Bills (2016), Brown has appeared in 65 career regular season games with 49 starts, compiling 408 career tackles (291 solo), 17 passes defensed, 14.0 sacks, seven interceptions (including two returned for touchdowns), four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.



In his lone season in Buffalo last year, Brown started all 16 games and led the AFC with 149 tackles (97 solo), second-most in the NFL. He also contributed 4.0 sacks, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles and an interception en route to earning his first career Pro Bowl selection.



Brown played collegiately at North Carolina, starting 23 of the 47 games in which he appeared for the Tar Heels. He recorded 230 career tackles (19 for loss), seven interceptions, 5.5 sacks, four passes defensed, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.



Brown, 27, attended Wilde Lake H.S. in Columbia, Md., where he earned All-Howard County honors as a senior after rushing for 1,537 yards and 20 touchdowns in addition to collecting more than 90 solo tackles. He was born Oct. 23, 1989.

REDSKINS RE-SIGN LB WILL COMPTON



LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have re-signed restricted free agent linebacker Will Compton. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.



Compton (6-1, 238) has appeared in 48 career regular season games with 30 starts since joining the Redskins as a college free agent in 2013. He has compiled 249 career tackles (146 solo), two interceptions, one sack, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries.



Last season, Compton started all 15 games in which he appeared, recording career highs in tackles (104, including 60 solo), passes defensed (five), fumbles recovered (two), fumbles forced (one) and matching his career high in interceptions (one). He was elected as the team’s defensive captain prior to the season.



Compton, 27, played collegiately at Nebraska after attending North County H.S. in Bonne Terre, Mo.
