Has there been any signs that the Lakers really want Lonzo?

I actually love the fact that the Lakers decided to not force the weight gain.

I have always wondered if that played a role in Ben Simmons injury.

I've heard that it could have very well played a role. He was putting on a lot of weight really quickly. The Lakers definitely want Ingram to gain weight and from what he has said...so does Ingram. However, they are wanting it to happen more slowly and naturally.

I think they want it to be similar to Kobe's weight gain. He wasn't as thin as Ingram, but he was pretty skinny when he first came in to the league, but he was able to add a good amount of weight and muscle over the course of his career.

Not necessarily. Depends a lot on how he's used. I don't think the Lakers would be looking to have him operate just on the perimeter. Plus, he can still play some 3 when needed.

1) he's a local boy (UCLA)

2) he's getting Magic comps

3) he's a PERFECT fit for Walton's offense. Like you have a hard time building a player who is a better fit for it than Ball

I like that idea. If I'm the Lakers, I'd give up Russell, Randle and the #28 pick for Zinger. Then try to get PG-13 next year as an FA.

That's basically my plan.

I'm willing to add Clarkson in there as well if that's what it takes too.

Zinger is an elite talent. You figure it out and build around him and Ball and ideally PG13.

I don't think I'd add Clarkson. Maybe give them a choice between Clarkson and Russell? If a 3rd player is necessary, I'd rather send Corey Brewer (even though I did like how he played).

Magic did go and watch Ball -- when they played Ky in the NCAAs and Fox played well.

Magic also said Lonzo is the one being drafted not Lavar.

I am just asking. I follow hoops but not as closely as the NFL, but I have not seen or heard anything pointing in that direction.

What Lonzo Ball is totally irrelevant. It is what the Lakers want - if they want him, they will take him, but if Boston thinks he is a better fit, they will take him and the Lakers will end up with Fultz. Either way - the Lakers are going to be sitting pretty good.

The point is the Lakers should be cashing in Russell and Randle for a guy to make LA more attractive anyway. I used Zinger cause he's cheap enough not to screw up their cap.
