If you can get 5 and 10 from the Kings...you probably do it.

If that's on the table, LA should do it. Even if they like Ball, there's still a shot they get him. Kings would take Fox at #2, Philly is likely taking Jackson/Tatum or possibly Monk, so that leaves Phoenix. They have Bledsoe and Booker and while they might move on from Bledsoe, it might not be right now. So Ball could conceivably be there in that scenario at 5 so you get the guy you wanted all along plus another lottery prospect. Worst case, Ball is gone and you're still left with a great prospect in Smith

Lakers brass meeting with UCLA coaching staff. Doesn't sound like Ball's workout has scared them off just yet. Besides, Lakers have the right trainer to get his backside in shape (literally, lol).
