Has there been any signs that the Lakers really want Lonzo?

I agree, I am starting too see that, and I am pretty sure Danny Ainge is thinking the same.

I've been saying it for months now.

He's not a guy you max.

It's going to be interesting to see what Celtics, and Lakers do on draft day. I can't wait.

I think Danny knows he's more than a Butler away from beating GS. So he's gonna try to OKC this bitch (3 top 5 picks in a row to build the core of the team for a long run of contendership).

I gotta give it to Danny Ainge. He knew KG & Paul Pierce were done, and Brooklyn would suck soon enough, for the Celtics to get high draft pick this year and next most likely. Nice Chess Move. The Cavs will be finished in a couple of years.

I don't think Danny planned on this happening. Maybe this year or next year.

Def not all 3.

Hell I think the James Young pick he got in 2014 he probably expected to be later than it was.

So Ball's team is saying they would consider working out for the Sixers.

That makes more sense. I get why they wouldn't want the Celtics to draft him.

If the Pacers call the lakers and said give me the # pick for PG-13, are lakers fans ok with that?
If they took Deng or Mozgov with that pick to balance the numbers - Hell yes I would. Straight across I still would if PG agreed to a meeting and agreed in principle to a contract extension of three years. You can't give away a guaranteed pick under a rookie contract for quality player that could bolt like a Dwight Howard jack rabbi and I seriously doubt the Pacers Organization would be willing to do any of that

Seriously - I like Magic Johnson current position of standing pat for the next year and playing the rookies. He was brought in for the purpose of keeping Kupchak and Buss from trading the draft picks away. In two years - the Lakers are really going to be good enough to get something for the expiring contracts Deng and Mozgove and move into contention.

Hard to read what he wants to do really. Magic recently said the only player that he won't consider trading is Ingram

Not to me. There a dumpster fire and have a ball dominant point forward in Simmons. Ball was born to run Brad's complex sets.

The problem with the Celtics is that they have too many point guards already.

True.

But, remember...

Lavar thinks Lonzo is the 2nd coming of Jesus Shuttleworth.

They want to showcase him.

He plays immediately with the Lakers, Sixers.

He could be behind Thomas and Smart in Boston at worst, splitting minutes with both guys and Bradley at best even as a starter.

They don't want that because they are trying to capitalize on his projected Star Power to pimp their shitty shoe company.

Can't do that if his ass is on the bench.

Also, let's be real, Ball is an even better fit for Walton's offense.

He won't be showcased in philly, that's the part that bothers me more than La.

He's a better fit in LA if Russell shifts to be a full time 2 or they ship Russell out.

For them I'd go all in on zinger and make no one untouchable.

I agree, the fit for the Sixers is not ideal. A combo guard would be a better fit (like Fultz, but he's the likely #1), although Ball can spread the court and hit 3s. I thought they really liked McConnell?

The Sixers' front court seems set, although they could use some depth at PF behind Saric.

Thomas should be traded, but we'll have to wait and see if Ainge will pull that trigger.
