Im not going to argue from the perspective of whether it was dirty or not. Note the proximity of Sullivan to Levy before the block occurred- IMO, he was going to have ZERO impact on the outcome. Suh didnt have to lay a finger on him, but went low anyways.

As I see it its either A) total lack of awareness - or- B) he was aware with intent.

HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED!!!!

For one game.

So he'd miss the game vs. AZ

Really though, good luck Lion fans... should be a good one.

So what are you guys saying, if its a block that ends a career then its ok to fine the guy a half of footballs pay? Lance Louis from the bears got hit by a Viqueen that ended his season and he has never been the same. If the players union is defending Suh, who is defending the guy getting hit?

Offensive linemen should be cutting this guy down every play trying to get him out of football, it seems fair.

"If" it's a block that ends a career, maybe. As it was, nobody was injured on the play...

He was slightly out of the play but not by enough that you don't block him.

They do and it never gets called. Such is the NFL. Complete and total inequity when it comes to officiating.

Head on over to the Patsies board. You'd think Suh killed their grandma.

It's not really Pats fan. It's mostly just the one the overly dramatic dude with the cartoon tiger avatar. In my experience, the majority of Pats fans are pretty grounded considering they came up from nothing (much like the Lions are trying to do).

straight-up horseshit is right. Penalty, OK, but the man was just trying to block someone and make a play. He came down in front of the guy. The same play by a hundred other guys wouldn't have even caused a comment.

Screw 'em. He's OUR dirty player.

Most Pats fans are fine. JDM is over here often and no one has issues. The problem is there are a few people on that board that start a new thread anytime a player not on the pats gets in any sort of trouble. I would not lump an entire group of fans into a group because the vocal minority enjoys throwing rocks at glass houses.

Mark Schlereth was just defending Suh on Sports Center.

Jeff Saturday was talking about how there's no place for Suh's hit, and Schlereth, a former o-lineman, said he saw a guy going for an opponent's waist on a play that's coached to all defensive players across the league. He went on to say that Suh still has to know better, but that this wasn't the dirty play that all of the talking Parrots want it to be...

A play that wasn't even a penalty last year gets a $100k fine in week one?

Someone has to pay for the concussion lawsuits.

Seriously, he didn't even go for his knee. He hit his thigh.

HE POPPED OFF BEFORE THE GAME THAT THEY WERE GOING AFTER CK AND HE LAUNCHES AFTER HIM WHEN HE IS ALREADY A FULL YARD OUT OF BOUNDS AND FINISHES THE TACKLE HALF WAY TO THE DAMN STANDS. IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT PLAYER SAFETY AND NOT THAT FAR REMOVED FROM THE BOUNTYGATE FIASCO THE FUCKING MORONS RUNNING THIS LEAGUE SHOULD BE MAKING A HARSH STATEMENT ABOUT THAT PLAY AS WELL.

I think Dr. Eviler wants Matthews to be fined. I broke down his subtle code and found the hidden meeting

Meow, the league is deciding right now. Read an article today about it. They said it won't be as heavy as Suh's bc he apparently doesn't have a "history".
