Okudah had 13 tackles and Elliot had 7. Sacks is the most overrated stat in football.

As a whole, the defense looked much better today until those last 4-5 minutes of the game - minus the 4-5 run plays of over 10+ yards.

They were most likely exhausted by then.

Goff is terrible. He is the worst QB in the league under pressure. Teams have figured out that if you get any pressure at all he will turn it over every other time.

We should be drafting a QB next year or get Stafford back. Looks like we may get 1st pick too.

I think they did it just to upset Sparty. At least that scheme is working as planned.

There were several great examples of this in the NE game as well, and people were trying to blame it on a bad game by the Tackles. But I was sick of arguing by that point.

Hutchinson at one point was screaming into the backfield untouched going full speed up field. Baily Zappe simply stepped downfield and Hutch flew right by. Maybe he had to break an arm tackle. It was perfect pocket pressence already by a rookie.

About 5 other times Judon flew upfield at Goff, often with a tackle pushing him further upfield as well. Goff sees him coming and tries to step backwards to outrun a guy who first of all is faster than him, and second already going full speed. Every time he not only got sacked, but also lost additional yards, and in one case even panicked and dropped the football. Absolutely zero pocket presseence or situational awareness. He's just never gonna get it, and it's bringing the whole team down.

I know our defense is shit, but this team is just a QB away from contending in games.

Paschal was good, Joseph was good, Alim was solid. Lions turned the ball over 5 times and still allowed the lowest points for them this year, and a lot of those points came of one of the worst block in the back noncalls in the history of the game. For the first time this year the defense was not the issue.
