I thought the jist of his comments suggested that both sides are actually playing it smart. Clips I heard on radio today, anyway. Yes. You have no clue. No counter offer means it isn't worth my time. I showed you what an actual counter would look like and it looks like an absurd demand, because it is. That is what Allen forced when he made his offer. Allen offered 15 million less than market value. So if you want market value, you have to ask for a minimum of 15 million greater than market. If you want three years of guarantees, because you already have one, then you have to ask for four years of guarantees.

You are posting the musings of GMs who implicitly are required to screw over the players. Of course they will side with management...they are management. Their bias is almost as obvious as yours.
