Yea, Lakersrule, Randle is 6'9". She's got to be 6'2"-6'3". Maybe even 6'4".

Depends for how much? If we don't land a big name like Melo or Lebron, he might demand $12-14m, in which case i'd tell him where to shove it.

If we do land a big name I see him taking a pay cut for that last chance at a ring.

:agree: He's indicated that he wants to be on a contending team. Adding Melo or Lebron to a team with a hopefully healthy Kobe, and they could be contenders. In that case, I think he'd been willing to take a nice paycut to stay in Los Angeles.

Yea LALakersboy. I don't know how many times I'd watch a team take the rebound on the offensive glass and blow by Gasol down the floor and shoot the ball or dunk it, only to have him show up late at the end looking like he was gassed just to take the ball, step out of bounds, and toss it in to go back down the floor on the offense. He always looked like he was out of breath, thus the term.

I hear that he will only re-sign if retro promises to stop calling him that.

That's one tall mother!

Apparently she played college basketball. He wears #30 because that was her number. I saw a quote where he said that when he was a kid he asked if he could wear that number. She said: "If you're going to wear it, you better do something with it."

He said: "I'm playing for the Lakers. I guess I did something with it."

That is funny TJF12. Lol! I think this statement has a bit of TJF12 projection in it. I didn't know that I knew Gasol that closely or he, me. Lol!

Question Shaqdaddy...I've seen KY play maybe twice...Is Randle projected as a 4 or a 3? Does he have an off the bounce game?

I really expect LBJ to re-sign in MIA with Wade and Bosh taking less to get one more guy...to try and get 5 straight appearances...Melo? I don't see his game meshing well with Kobe...is there any way to get Ariza back?

If we are looking to re-sign Pau, I'm assuming we are either thinking Randle will come off bench - or moving Pau to C? But then I hear the rumors about Monroe being a target.

I think the main target we need right now is either PG (depending on how we feel about our 2nd Round pick) and SF.

Ariza or Melo is a must get for us, imo.

Whether the Lakers get Lebron or 'Melo or not, it might be time to start putting together a roster for beyond the next 2 seasons.

To me, that means if they can add a couple of young, non-max FA's like Ariza, Hill, SwaggyP, etc. then you go ahead and give a couple of those guys 4-5 year deals.

Then in a couple of seasons, when Kobe, Nash, etc. are gone, they can start looking at some of the max FA's that will be available at that time (Westbrook, Durant, etc.).

What do you guys think about Kyle Lowry? That's the PG I think we should be targeting, heavily!

Personally, I'd rather keep Farmar and Marshall. Lowry is a very good, young PG, but I think whatever team he goes to will have to overpay to get him.

Farmar is a less expensive option (and not that far below Lowry, imo) and Marshall has shown that he might be one of the best backup PG's in the league.

Now, if the Lakers can get him without overpaying, then maybe consider it.

I find it interesting that all of the FAs who were on our roster last year are patiently waiting for the Lakers. Except for Swaggy, (I think he is whining to to goad the Lakers into action and wants to play for the Lakers in the future), everyone else is quiet on signing elsewhere. This tells me that many hope to return to the Lakers which I believe many will.

Yeah, I've heard this. I think Miami is gonna go after him, heavy, Personally, I'm ok with Farmar/Marshall, IF we can get a max guy that can take some of the load off of our PG and Kobe.

I think we start Randle at the 4 and move Pau to the 5, but that means we have to be active this summer. I'm heavily interested in resigning Pau and I'd think if we can get a max guy, he'd take a pay cut, :2cents:
