GOOOOOOOOOOOOD pick for Lakers
On a positive note, I do love the Jordan Clarkson pick (especially for the value).
Got to watch him play in Tulsa. He also cannot shoot, but there are some things I like about him:
1) He has succeeded everywhere he has gone. (high school, all american game, Durant's camp, Tulsa, Missouri)
2) 6'5 PG who can get to the rim
3) 3 years of college experience in 2 different conferences. Should be NBA ready.
One more thing on the potential coach:
They also showed on AccessSportsnet that all of the other teams that needed coaches have made their hires. Considering some of the more headscratching hires like Kerr and D. Fish, the Lakers can pretty well pick who they want from a pretty strong list.
Obviously Ive seen a lot of Clarkson and the big thing about him is his driving capability and his ability to finish at the rim.On a positive note, I do love the Jordan Clarkson pick (especially for the value).

The struggles he had at the end of his college career in finishing and scoring had nothing to do with his ability and more to do with the fact that Mizzou was playing 3 on 5 on offense and Clarkson was facing 2 to 3 people every time he drove.
His overall game is nothing special but his ability to drive and put points on the board is something that will translate to the NBA. He just needs to work on his jumpshot a bit but he should be more pro ready than most of the guys in this draft.
I don't think this will be a problem, with players like Kobe & Nash to help you with jump shots.
HAHAHAHAHA!! So true.Kobe will be challenging this kid to shooting contests for money. The kid will improve or be Kobe's personal ATM machine.
The person left on my list. Vonleh.
Watching Access Sportsnet and there was a pretty interesting interview with Mitch. Looks like Kobe is already talking to 'Melo about being a Laker and apparently will be talking to Lebron as well.
Mitch says that the Lakers are prepared for either or both (or any other FA's) if they want to be Lakers. He also said that if they can't get what they want, they'll save the cap space for the '15 and/or '16 FA classes.
The Lakers have 3 players with guaranteed contracts (Kobe, Nash and Sacre), 1 non-guaranteed contract (Marshall) and they have until June 30th to decide if they want to make a qualifying offer to Kelly.
They're still in no hurry re: a coach and will likely make a decision once they have a better idea of what the roster will look like. Mitch did say that both interviews with B. Scott went well.
“I’d rather play against LeBron. I just have an older mentality. I want to beat the best. Maybe in the future I’d want to play with him. I’ve been watching him my whole life. I’d rather compete against him and try and beat him than be on his team.”
like this kid ALREADY...
