An additional ace would be nice, but not NECESSARY. Ray is a bit of a question mark right now, but this could be the coming out season for Harry.

It’s necessary for us to make the playoffs IMO. Our lineup can be good enough. Our pitching has to be top level elite. We should always try to re-create teams like the title winners which were always pitching first.

By definition they get what the market will deliver. Not overpays, the market rate for those players is what they get.

10/12/14 were more about the fact that they were build from the farm and everyone knew everyone. And we had the $$ and prospects to be able to go out and get a Scutaro or a Pence or a Lopez or a Chinadoll.

Those teams won IN OCTOBER because of chemistry.

Chemistry is hard to build through free agency. It is best built through the system. And the Giants have not done that in almost 15 years now.

If you're saying only build through the draft we may have to wait a while. 'Chemistry' should not be a specific focus, other than deciding which FAs to pursue or players to trade for. We brought in Chapman and he's as strong a 'chemistry' guy as there could possibly be. Snell was not.
