Seager creeps closer to .200, I wonder how many years they will extend him.

Pretty sure his option year for the Ms to keep him is something like $24mil so I am reasonably sure that he packs his bags and leaves town.
Now if our current regime is still steering the ship and they have been known to drink the Krazy Kool-Aid .... all normal rational thinking gets tossed aside.

I for one am sick and tired of seeing him march to the batters box, hitting ( using that term loosely as well ) in the heart of our lineup all these years.
1st base - 3rd base and right field are the 3 power spots on most any team in MLB. Where teams will platoon a guy with mediocre defensive in lieu of him hitting .275 plus - close to 30 bombs and driving in 100+ rbis. A team having 2 of 3 or all 3 players underperforming offensively at those 3 key positions renders that team non competitive in the division / league.

Case in point Toronto Blue Jays with Vlad jr ( and many many others throughout history ). They have moved him from 3rd base to 1st base and a few years from now if he slows down a bit and cannot play infield, he will get jammed into right field ( where his dad played I am pretty sure for many years ). Why ? Because his offensive numbers dictate having him in the lineup, even if he struggles some with the glove.

only way i'd look into this is if Berrios can be attached too. He has 1.5 years of control so obviously its a move for next year too and shouldnt cost big prospects since you'd have to pay him too.

I'm still convinced that this was the plan all along. Problem is, where is this gonna get us? I keep waiting to hear that another city is looking for a team, and we're being eyeballed.

It may not be the case, but you know what I say: No one lets their team plummet like this without being up to something.
