How about buying a jersey that represents the team?
I have 7 or 8 jerseys of players no longer on the team. I know a lot of you think it is lame, but in Seattle we never get tired of the #12. I bought my 1st one last year and it always remains in vogue in the PNW.

Personally I do think it's kind of lame. But more power to you. I say go for it if that's the jersey you choose. I also have team jersey's with no names. What I find comical is putting your own last name on a jersey with a players number.

I agree. I still have my Tebow jersey from the Broncos. It shows support for the team.

I only have NFL jerseys for certain players Marcus Allen, Tim Brown and Howie long. Most of the jerseys I have are college football USC where players don't get traded and New Jersey Devils jerseys. Don't care if the player gets traded or leaves via free agency I keep the jersey anyway they were a part of the team. Paying insurance on a jersey is assinine and odds are they would be traded or leave after the 18 months

This. No matter what name is on the back first and foremost people see the name on the front of the jersey. Plus it shows how far back you guy with your team.

I would if I bought jerseys to wear to games. I think that is a dumb idea by philly stores because both of those players could easily be traded. Unless it's a scam based on the idea that those players are more likely to be cut and sign elsewhere. If I buy a jersey though, I don't get a name on the back. It's kind of weird, but I feel stupid wearing another man's name on my back. They are also cheaper that way.
