okay incapable was harsh. teams are realizing that the Rangers may not be in a financial position to sign players like Hader or Montgomery. in the first weeks of free agency, we were constantly hearing that the Rangers were the odds-on favorites to sign Hader, Montgomery and numerous teams move on to others now we are hearing little or nothing about the Rangers involvement in them and more about the financial distress the team seems to be facing.

Well I think they are definitely playing it conservative but they need another SP. Too risky if someone goes down like it usually does

That's why they get paid the big bucks, to take the right chances. All players are risks. Somehow, this organization just feels they can always get by cheap in the bullpen.

Feb 1 is where the very movable carrot is right now. It will move again, no doubt.

If the Rangers had $50 million to spend right now, I think CY would spend it all on starting pitching.
