Kudos to Jeff Wilson for being the only media member I have read to mention the true outcome to Bauer's legal proceedings.
It has been said he is trouble in the clubhouse which really has no connection to any alleged charges.
But who knows what is true. Maybe a point of trust can be agreed upon

From Jim Bowden:

"I’m not sure there will be a cannonball splash by any team but I believe the Yankees, Cubs, Giants, Blue Jays and Rangers all have one more big move left in their wallets."

About Knitzer, from MLBTR:

But his glovework hasn’t been strong, as was suggested by prospect evaluators over the years. He has a career tally of -18 Defensive Runs Saved and is considered a poor framer by each of FanGraphs, Baseball Prospectus and Statcast. He’s considered a decent blocker by Statcast but his work with the throwing game is considered subpar.

Never heard of him.
Me neither. Guess another option. Maybe Bobby Wilson sees something in him that would make better than an average back up.catcher

If they are going to let Huff DH, they were going to need another catcher. In case Heim or Huff gets injured.

I have never gotten the indication that he is a very strong consideration for DH. Maybe, I am wrong. I get the feeling they are planning to keep Taveras around and rotating the DH spot between the 4 OF should Langford make the team. I think there is also a chance Grossman could be back to DH some.

Heim, the American League Gold Glove winner, is one of the seven who settled with the Rangers. He will make $3.05 million in his first year of arbitration eligibility, and right-hander Dane Dunning agreed for $3,325,000 in his first year.

Fellow first-year eligibles Josh Sborz ($1,025,000), Jonathan Hernandez ($1,245,000) and Brock Burke (1,035,000) avoided arbitration. Leody Taveras, a Super Two player, agreed for $2.55 million.

The biggest payday went to first baseman Nathaniel Lowe, who will make $7.5 million in his second year of arbitration.

From Jeff Wilson:

Knizner would seem to move to the front of the pecking order to be Heim’s backup, ahead of Sam Huff. Rangers general manager Chris Young indicated this offseason how happy the Rangers were with Huff’s progress in 2023, but they had some concern that he didn’t catch enough as he was inactive for long stretches while with the big-league club.

The roster spot will be won in spring training. Huff was granted a fourth option year, so more time at Triple A Round Rock is a possibility.

As for Knizner, he worked extensively with Rangers pitching coach Mike Maddux in St. Louis and caught left-hander Jordan Montgomery. For those attempting to put some pieces together, Montgomery has a 4.31 ERA in 14 games with Knizner catching. However, 11 of those were in 2023, and Montgomery had a 3.62 ERA.

We need to spend on the bullpen. We will regret it if we do not, and we will be forced to overspend in a trade.

We have 2 spots open methinks
One for Montgomery and one for a high leverage reliever. I like Robert S or the Astros guy over Hicks. He seemed wild to me. But if he can be a SP and SFG can get innings they for a bargain
